As the name suggests, Kilty Kilty is a Scottish themed bar in Paisley which is a great place to go for people who«don’t do» Paisley. The décor is Scottish but in a comforting and patriotic way rather than a tacky touristy way. The food is also based on traditional Scottish food such as haggis, mince and tatties and Scottish pudding. They also serve allsorts of other stuff though like fajitas and pakora, there’s no discrimination here! All the food I’ve tried is pretty decent, nothing spectacular but good for the price. The staff are dressed in what is loosely deemed a kilt although they are not tartan so really that’s just cheating! They are friendly folk though and the atmosphere is very welcoming. There is a DJ on a Friday and Saturday night and the music is a little bit of everything, but mostly stuff that’s in the charts. The best thing about Kilty Kilty is that it is an over 23s bar so that weeds out most of the young, can’t handle their drink, lads! They are also quite strict with their door policy(unlike most other bars and clubs in Paisley!) and turn people away if they are too drunk or if they are«wearing trainers» which we all know just means that the bouncer thinks you look like trouble! This means that Kilty Kilty is more up market than anywhere else in the surrounding area.
