The cheery staff make a visit fun, the food range is limited but filling, a bit on the pricey side, but go on treat yourself.

Hmm. I have mixed feelings regarding Muffin Break. Although they have a decent selection of muffins and coffees as you would expect from the name, I was put off by the price. I ventured in here with my boyfriend and I absolutely hate saying things that make me feel snobbish, but given the venue of this place I was taken aback by the cost. For a muffin and a cup of our caffeinated friend, you’re looking to spend around 4 pounds depending on what you order. What?! Don’t get me wrong, it’s darn tasty, but there’s something disconcerting about paying big city bucks in a place a bit off the beaten track. Maybe I’m jaded by Glasgow prices and was expecting too much, but usually outside the Glasgow boundary prices are a little bit cheaper. In this case, it was the overriding feature that put me off. Despite the food being nice and the service being amiable, I was a bit aghast at the cost which would put me off from returning. As my boyfriend rightly pointed out, Glaswegian tax outwith the boundary does not go down well in Paisley, and although I enjoyed myself I felt moderately shortchanged. Perhaps I should move with the times and accept prices are increasing, or maybe I rightly begrudge spending so much on a muffin with my minimal budget.
