This is an excellent bar situated ideally between the Friargate & Fishergate pub areas of the city. It’s a good location to watch football during the day with lots of large screens and smaller private booths with TV’s to watch the football. There is an extensive range of beers, shots and cocktails and during the day there are usually good offers but at night it can be expensive unless you go for the special offers which include 2 cocktails for £7.50 which is a very good deal. The best point about The Assembly is that it’s a late bar open until at least 3 am at the weekends but there is no charge to get in so you can come and go in as you please-much better alternative to paying to get in to a club! The atmosphere is good and there’s always a range of customers in there-there is a DJ and areas for chilling out. This is a great bar and is my favourite bar in Preston.

the Assembly is the best bar in Preston, I spent many a night out in this bar, and what a great night everytime, the bar staff are friendly, drinks are a good price and the music is not too bad, I would tell anyone coming to uni here this is the place to check out.

One of the best pubs in Preston city centre and definately on of Preston’s best & busiests nightspots at the weekend. There are two floors, plenty of TV screens for the sporting events, it can get very packed during big England games, the staff are normally dressed smartly, friendly and polite. The food menu isn’t too bad, it can be a bit limited though.

The Assembly is a cool venue, refurbed with trendy sofas and cool chairs and stools. There is an upstairs complete with more trendy furnishings which make it a cool place to go at the weekend. Ths place gets very busy on a friday and saturday night so expect to stand up and chat. There are all the usual vodka shots and cool drinks and the music is loud and chart current. This used to be a corn exchange so the building is old with charater but its been done out in a modern way. The service is slow at the bar when busy as you would expect but fast during the day. There is often sports on during the day as there are large tv screens to watch it on. This is a good place to go and one of the busiest bars to be in before the main clubs kick in. During the daytime food is also served but it isnt that great and there isn’t a great deal of choice.
