Princess of Hearts in Ashton upon Mersey(an area of Sale) is a reliably good, non-glitzy curry house. I’ve eaten here with family on a couple of occasions now and all ages have enjoyed the food. The service is excellent with the staff giving us enough time to review the menu and remembering to ask part-way through if people wanted more drinks. I especially liked the fact they gave us an additional large dish of onion chutney to have with our poppadoms. The mango chutney was a tad watery unfortunately, but the other dips compensated. After a recent disappointment trying Lamb Nihari at another curry place, I was straight back to ordering my favourite dish(Chicken Saag) and it was terrific. Though I had to fight for enough naan bread with my family I could have eaten a whole one it was delicious. Everyone else’s meals looked and tasted good and as a couple of the portions were too big to finish, they boxed them up for us to take home. There were plenty of people stopping by to pick up their takeaway orders so this place is popular — I’ll be trying this out soon as well no doubt.
