The Best Pub in Stocksbridge! A Mans Pub!
Go to the Silver fox if you like flat beer and you like paying high prices?

The Friendship is not really a pub I’d recommend anyone to go in that’s basically looking for a quiet pint or enjoyable night out. On the few occasions I’ve been in I’ve found it extremely hostile, one always gets the feeling a fight is going to brake out. ‘Locals’ don’t really welcome ‘new’ people in there and don’t seem to like them playing pool in peace. The beers range is reasonable and the prices are also reasonable. They have discos on nearly every weekend. Most people in Stocksbridge seem to wonder why it’s named the Friendship due to the hostility of the punters. it quite frequently gets it windows put through or dealt some other act of vandalism for some reason or another. If you’re after a more welcoming pub in Stocksbridge I’d say stay clear of the Friendship and head down to the Silverfox.
