Beeches Bar and Grill

Colleagues choose Beeches Bar and Grill for lunch and while I expected more of pub style (where we normally go), I was pleasantly surprised with the more upscale atmosphere here! While it was fairly empty when we arrived, more people starting coming in (mostly work groups) as we were eating. Even for vegetarians, there is still a decent amount to choose from on the menu and I settled on the fish and chips (usually have it everytime I visit the UK). These were excellent and quite filling, so much so that I wasn’t able to finish. Only had time for this course but the desserts looked divine – maybe next time!
Also, as I’m busy planning my wedding, this made me think how lovely this place would be as a reception! The grounds outside are beautiful and provide a good amount of space for guests and the restaurant itself is lovely and serves up great food! I’d recommend checking it out as a venue ;)

A classy Georgian pub and restaurant set in the beautiful village of Hampton in Arden. The pub area is compact with high tables and stools, and comfy leather sofas to help you chill out and relax.
There are plenty of wines and cask ales to choose from.
The bar area can get busy, which provides a good atmosphere. A great place to spend an evening for a few drinks. Looking forward to sampling the restaurant food in the near future.

Approaching this restaurant and bar from the front you’d be forgiven for assuming that the view isn’t up to much. However, once you are off the car park and into the premises you are enveloped by a laid back and contemporary environment. There is a small bar to enjoy a tipple in before been seated in a relaxed but up-​market dining area. If you visit during the daytime there is a huge lawn with stunning views that you can have drinks or food on.
The menu is contemporary British with a Mediterranean twist. The food has always been good here along with the service. However, my friends and I agree that the menu could probably do with a bit of an update or shake-​up; it’s been the same for too long. The last time we visited we enjoyed the sample bites to share (a great idea for a mixed starter for the table.) I also had the risotto which was very good. As always a fairly competent meal out.
Lunch served Monday to Friday: 12:00pm — 2.30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00pm — 3.00pm
Dinner served Monday to Sunday: 6.00pm — 9.30pm
Brunch Served Saturday & Sunday 11am — 3pm
Sunday Roast Served 12pm — 3pm

Very hit and miss. While I’ve enjoyed exceptional food and service here in the past, my last visit saw four of us head along for a special lunch to find a plaster in our food, cold food, and incredibly rude service when we complained — to the point that we watched the chef storm past in a rage and prod the food around to identify what the mysterious blue plastic in my friend’s dessert was.
While I’d hope it was a one off, with the price of the food being not insubstantial, I’d be reluctant to try it again to see if it’s improved.

I absolutely love coming here, be it for a meal or a drink.
The atmosphere is relaxed, despite the high ceilings and modern décor. The staff are great, and they really look after you and go that extra mile to accommodate your needs.
The food is well priced, and reflects the good meal you will get. The portions are ‘just right’ and most of the food is locally sourced and made fresh on site.
