This is one of Hampton-in-Arden’s little gems and as I have friends in the village I make extra excuses to drop in on them, visiting this wonderful shop first of course.
This store is a delicatessen (plus a lot more) that attempts to stock local produce as far as possible together with a more exotic range of items. If they don’t have what you want, they we will try and get it in for you.
They stock fruit and vegetables, dry foods, speciality teas and coffees, cheeses and meats, pasties and pork pies and a range of salads and pastas. On my last visit I was tempted by some delicious cheese.
The store has been given a fairly recent makeover and fresh lease of life by the new owner and local Julie Williamson. The store will even make up hampers and picnic baskets for you if ordered in advance. A very upmarket corner shop.
