I am a regular customer with my friends and the pizza is always perfect! And very very low on cost, I love how still hot it is when I receive it too! However a couple of days ago with my friends we received our pizza and it had 2 (my friends described it as ‘pubic looking’) black hairs in it and one white hair, of course this was rather unappetising so the pizza ended up in the bin and our bellies completely turned off from food. We tried many different ways of contacting but after half an hour of attempting to contact big johns for a refund or a new pizza and they never responded. This is the first bad experience we had and hopefully the only one. I think I’ll go for Dominos next time to be safe.

Big John’s in Shirley is a little different to the Kings Heath branch. First off the shop has no real seating area. They just have a space for waiting for your order. Big John’s in Shirley, Solihull opened around 12 years ago and has been a Shirley favourite since its Solihull based inception.
The main difference between the two branches is the chicken doner meat they serve. It tastes different at this branch and I must say that I prefer it to the chicken doner meat that is served in Kings Heath.
The meat is juicy and full of flavour and the marinade is Vindaloo style hot; it quite literally takes your breath away. The portion size for a chicken kebab is massive, a small size would fill me to the brim. Yet I always go for the large because the chicken doner here is so so very good.

Very good extensive menu and now there is a delivery service! Staff friendly and service quick. There is always a big queue!
