Évaluation du lieu : 3 Sutton Coldfield, United Kingdom
Situated on the edges of Sutton Coldfield, near the areas your Mum warned you about, The Anvil has long had a tough reputation as both a local’s pub and a drinker’s pub. Hand on heart, I can’t say this isn’t necessarily the case, but I didn’t feel too intimidated as me and my husband decided on the venue for a quick drink. The staff were fine and friendly and served us promptly and efficiently. After the initial over-the-shoulder glances from the locals, they didn’t really blink an eyelid as we sat down in a quieter corner of the pub. I only had half of larger, perhaps in part because I felt we may have needed to make a swift exit! But, I needn’t have been so concerned and could have enjoyed a pint or more in comfort. This place isn’t going to attract many tourists, nor may it find itself on CAMRA’s RADAR. However, is there anything really wrong with a place being just beloved by those who live near by?
