Mere Green Service Station

At 10 years old my car has had its fair share of MOTs and has (reluctantly) been to a few local garages over its life time. Without a doubt Mere Green Service Station is the best it has been to. Having had two MOTs there previously, a card was sent to me in the post reminding me that my annual test was due, and advising me the earliest date my car could be tested.
I phoned first thing on a Monday morning and was booked in for Thursday that week. It’s a popular place with good reason. The receptionist at this family run business couldn’t have been more helpful, allowing me to drop off my car the night before so I didn’t have to be late the day of the MOT. She also advised me of the improvements to the premises since my last visit a year previously. Parking, or lack thereof, has always been the one downside to the garage.
However, they have now accommodated further spaces meaning dropping your car off is much easier. Collecting my car was also extremely straight forward, as the mechanic happily turned my car around for me so I could exit the premises with ease.
Not knowing much about cars, I appreciate the staff’s approach and devotion to honesty in a trade that doesn’t always have the best reputation. They will only do work to your car that is absolutely necessary. Fact. I’m sorry to say I have not always felt the same about some of the other competitors in the area. Happily my decade-​old car passed the test with little fuss, except for a wiper blade that needed to be replaced. The complimentary company air freshener dangling from my rear-​view mirror was the icing on the cake. My little car is already looking forward to going back next year for its 11^th birthday!
