Another fantastic night at the station. The long established pub of Sutton Coldfield. Refurbished under a year ago, the pub is a real British affair serving lovely food and a range of beverages! Beautiful building with a great crowd! The staff have got quicker serving at speed. Toilets have even been improved! In the summer and winter come to that, the beer garden is not to be missed!

Great pub located right next to the Sutton Coldfield train station. Probably one of the more expensive pubs in the area but it does have a large beer garden some of the others are missing(or at least not overlooking a main road or a car park…)

This is one of my favorite pubs in Birmingham. When all food items on the menu are available, they are superb! I’m wary of going on the weekends though, because they typically run out of the vegetarian items by then as well as some beers. They occasionally host tap takeovers and fun events like a vinyl fair, plus comedy upstairs Thurs-Sat. My absolute favorite item on the menu is the vegetarian filo tart. It usually has a lovely blend of spinach, cheese, pine nuts, and mushrooms and is served with a superfood salad and optional chips. The superfood salad is divine — mixed lettuces, onions, pomegranate seeds, tomatoes, carrot shreds and peppers drizzled with a mustard seed vinaigrette. The chips are always cooked to perfection, never mushy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The outdoor seating includes heat lamps for winter and dazzly lighting.

The Station is easily the best pub in Sutton Coldfield. This is a top place to start the night off, it’s always busy and bring on a varied and fun crowd. The station is recently renovated and is much better for it. The beer garden here is the place to be and I’m writing this as the sun is shining! We need to make the most of what little sun we get in England so The Station is a top choice. The food at the Station is quite good. We had sausage, mash and red onion gravy…, it looses a star for putting raw red onion in the gravy which felt like I was eating gravy salad! Overall I have a huge affection for the station, my advice is to get here early to avoid the crowds!

Good place, nice staff and good locals. Some times the beer is a bit rough but they do change it without making a song and a dance about it . Food is ok also

Finding somewhere that is both cool, with a great atmosphere, with enough room for your friends to party and celebrate with you can be tough, especially on a weekend. My first venture to The Station was as a party guest in the upstairs room that they often use for gigs and comedy nights. First thing to say about The Station is that it is easy to find and to get a parking space nearby. The second thing to say was that it is one busy pub and whilst I was all set to party upstairs, I could barely see the décor downstairs through all the bodies. After finally managing to snake my way through the pub goers I found my way up the stairs where the wall paper was the thing that caught my eye in a slight freak-show, Victorian esque way. I was very happy. The room my friend had hired for an amazingly nominal fee was fab. It was big and spacious with a great dance floor and nooks for people to sit and chat in. With a full bar, helpful staff, great décor and lots of friends you will certainly have a good time here.

I’ve been using this pub, on and off, for more years than I care to remember. I went to school and 6th form not far away and this was the main haunt during those days. Since then it has been the venue for many a reunion, get-together and family party(my Mom’s 50th was in the upstairs room). It’s a decent sized pub with a really nice back garden area that is great and very lively on summer evenings. There is no grass, so it’s not a ‘garden’ as such, but the pub have made every effort to make it a nice spot with the use of hanging baskets and nice lighting. The interior has changed a lot over the years — it used to have a fairly cosy ‘old man’s pub’ many years ago — and now resembles a lot of pubs these days — a sort of halfway house between a pub and a restaurant — sparse and boringly comfortable is the theme. That said, it remains a nice place to go for a pint and whenever I’m in the area I often pop in for a quick beer to re-familiarise myself with the sights and sounds of a mis-spent youth.

Positioned adjacent to Sutton Coldfield’s train station and just outside its busy, pedestrianized town centre, this aptly named pub acts as a relaxed, daytime diner and bustling, late-night party haven. Of a lunchtime and evening, cocktails and desserts are 2 for 1 and of a night, The Station really comes to life, attracting large crowds of local drinkers from diverse backgrounds and age groups. The pub is on two storeys and offers ample seating throughout, but on busier Friday and Saturday evenings, manoeuvring about the place can be a real chore, due to tight staircases and a real ‘tinned sardine’ effect generated by the pub’s sheer popularity. Other than this, The Station really is a great place to chill out, day or night. The sizeable beer garden has several patio heaters to cater for smokers in the winter, the chairs and settees inside are comfortable, the food is great and the wine and cocktail selection is impressively diverse. I would highly recommend The Station’s gorgeous Spiced Mojito.

Good atmosphere and always busy(though than often translates to taking 6 months to get served). Really good outdoor area, making it hugely popular in the summer months. Not a fan of the food, though the comedy nights organised here are a great success — and include some surprisingly big names n the circuit.

looking in from the outside this pub looks like an older generation pub, with poor décor. in the day it tends to be quiet but on a friday night it is so packed. the staff are friendly, and its mainly regulars who go there.

This is the place to head if you’re looking for a traditional and casual pub, where everyone hangs out at the weekend. Its right next to Sutton Coldfield Train Station. Its often packed out in here, so don’t expect to get a seat, thats unless you’re a smoker… Outside there’s a huge undercover area with long benches and patio heaters. When you’ve had your fill of this place, there’s a few other local pubs within walking distance.
