This tremendously popular local pub is a real hybrid, offering a relaxed pub atmosphere of a daytime and a bustling pub-come-club vibe of a weekend evening. With its great value drinks, numerous food deals and lively atmosphere, The Litten Tree is excellent place to visit, whether it be to kick back with a few beers and watch the footy, or to party late with friends of a Saturday night. The pub area houses several flat-screen televisions, comfortable seating and its own mid-sized dancefloor. Sadly, there is no car park, but a bus stop is located literally just outside the front door and the main stretch of Sutton Coldfield town centre is just a 2 minute walk away. The Litten Tree is a real gem, definitely worth visiting if you’re in town and after a drink. It’s well-priced, well-staffed, friendly and above all else, great fun.

I’m only in my hometown for a couple of days and I am advised that my football team(soccer) the once mighty Aston Villa are playing a televised game on Boxing Day night. If you cannot get to see the game live, the next best option is to watch in an English pub. The Litten Tree is the perfect venue, many many screens, big, smaller, HD and seating for the fans/drinkers in need of more comfort. Very large pub with a large menu, that I didn’t try, and numerous beers. My friends were drinking Carling, very cold and enjoyed greatly. I took a Becks, equally cold and delicious. Very well lit and 90% male occupied during the game but I’m reassured that non– game time there are equal numbers of local ladies. Bathrooms are upstairs and the usual vending machines include, quite bizarrely an inflatable sheep. For amusement I presume…

Though Sutton Coldfield is a very nice town, with some great architecture and really lovely houses, its offerings in the way of places to go for night life is a bit slim. But hey, it brought us Cat Deeley, so I’m not complaining. The Litten Tree doesn’t really compare to Cat Deeley, though. It’s not as good looking, for one thing, nor as friendly. Alright, the comparisons stop there. The Litten Tree is a spacious pub located toward the top of Gracechurch Shopping Centre, on the Sutton High Street. It’s décor is hideously dated, it’s very dingy with poor lighting, and the carpet is worn to threadbare consistency in many places. It’s very clean, though, which is, erm, nice. The food is pretty average — warmed over, microwaved, pre-frozen pub grub. Avoid the meat here at all costs. Everything else is alright, decent chips. They have a good selection of ales, so if you’re looking for a decent place to get slaughtered mid-week, this is the place to do it! The service here is a slow, and definitely unfriendly. A smile a day keeps the doctor away, girls! Cat Deeley should know.

ive visited this pub on many occasions. in the daytime its a nice place to go for a meal or a quiet drink. the food can sometimes take a while to come out, but its always nice portions, and very tasty. Its always a good night on a friday, good music, it does get full quickly, drinks are reasonably priced, and staff get you served quick. good night out or a good pub for quiet drinks.
