With a random urge for pasta, zizzis was soon on the agenda. We were seated and then greeted by the adorable waitress Amanda who served us all night. We knew what we wanted straight away and asked if the pasta dish we wanted could be medium heat as sometimes it can be very hot. This was no problem and off she went to put through our order. We ordered the garlic bread with cheese and balsamic onions which is the best garlic bread I have ever tried. I could happily make my way through mounds of that. We ordered the spicy chicken pasta with spinach, tomatoes and cream which was the perfect heat. The pasta is really tasty and the chicken is succulent and juicy. Our waitress ensured we had enough drinks and kept checking to see if everything was okay with our food and made sure it wasn’t too spicy. We decided to finish off with a liqour coffee and we were advised this would take around 5 – 10 minutes to make which we were happy with and thought it was good of her to mention. The whole meal was very enjoyable and the service was fantastic by a member of staff who clearly loved working and interacting with people. Definitely give this place a try and if your lucky enough to get Amanda as your waitress she will go the extra mile to ensure you have a great time. One again apologies for my lack of photos. Silly phone!

I’ve been to this Zizzi’s a couple of times; this time for lunch with a few colleagues. The first thing that always strikes me is how uninviting the front door is — the restaurant is surrounded by glass except for the big, closed, wooden door. Odd. Anyhow; when you get inside, the restaurant is clean and airy and has one of my favourite things… an open kitchen. I think being able to see what the chefs are doing gives you that little bit more confidence in the food. We had booked a table in advance, which was ready when we arrived and to which we were swiftly shown, by a very friendly waiter. Our drinks order was taken quickly, but then it took a while for our food order to be taken, which is not great when you only have an hour at your disposal. I ordered the casareccia pollo piccante — a lovely blend of spicy chicken in a creamy sauce with sweet tomatoes and fresh baby spinach. It did not disappoint, though I have to admit to being a little jealous of my colleagues who had ordered pizzas. They were huge! With crisp bases and plenty of toppings — there was even enough for a doggy bag. The waiting staff were generally very approachable, though, as per a lot of restaurants these days, they seemed to disappear when it came time to pay the bill. It’ll never be my favourite restaurant, but I certainly think it’s worth a visit.

My friend suggested we eat here after we’d attended the leeds Met pre-show for the Art degree students I’d already printed off the 50% voucher and checked it was usable in The Light as i’ve been stung by this previously and therefore have not been encouraged to try the place.(apparenlty some of the previous offers state in the small print they are excluded from The Light) Anyway, we arrived at 8.10pm and despite seeing at least 15 tables empty we were told it wuld be a 20 min wait. We decided to read the menu and wait and in all fairness it was only about 10 mins we waited for a balcony table. We were seated and drinks orders were taken. We ordered food when they were brought back. I had ordered :– Insalata di pollo: — roast chicken in an aioli and lemon dressing with pancetta, green beans, cannellini beans, balsamic onions, slow roasted tomatoes and lentils on mixed leaves. My friend :– Casareccia Pollo Piccante :-spicy piccante chicken in a creamy sauce with fresh tomato and baby spinach. The food arrived really quickly which is always disconcerting. It looked much nicer that it actually delivered on taste. I was quite shocked to find all my salad was cold– I’d kind of expected the chicken to be warm! There was only 1 cannellini bean in the whole dish, the dressing tasted bland and certainly didn’t taste as garlicky as I expect aioli to be and there was definitely no balsamic onions. The pasta apparently was more bland than spicy. Both food descriptions would be plagued with inaccuracies as per Trading standards if you ask me. The only thing that delivered on the taste front was the Garlic bread! The wrong bill was presented to us which also added more insult to injury. Never mind– I wont be eating here again. Zizzi, take note. Your food does not deliver what it says on the tin, there is no need to be making people to wait for tables when there are clearly tables available and overall– more effort needed. 2 stars is pretty generous and is only due to what it cost and the good garlic bread!

This place is really nice. The new(ish) decoration makes the restaurant really open. Staff were fine, although my friend found a splinter in her food and although the manager apologised, didn’t offer anything– a drink on the house would have been appreciated. I hope they look into that, because it could have been a lot worse if a baby or an elderly person found a splinter in their food! Food-wise, we were really happy with what we got. We got the superfood salad which wasn’t bad– not sure I’d order it again but it was nice with an extra drizzle of olive oil and some more salt and pepper from the table! The pizza we had was delicious– whole wheat base, and roast vegetables & goat’s cheese on top. I would definitely get this one again, and it even came with a side salad. It is smaller than the usual pizza, but as it is less than 600 calories(one of the healthy options), you can’t really go wrong. Would love to come back here next time they put out a voucher ;)

I was having a lunch brake from my gym that’s right above it and I decided to try this place out. I went with the 2 course £10.95 lunch deal. I got a «salad» for a starter(cant remember the name of it, sorry, it starts with an A: P) and the reason i put«» is because it was 4 small roma tomatoes cut in half with a piece of buffalo mozzarella and two pizza dough sticks drizzled with olive oil and a bit of fresh basil. For the main dish i got quatro stagioni pizza without the artichokes that was in the menu. The size was very good. Taste wise was ok, nothing too great though. The only downfall on that it was that I was a bit cold. Being all glass and having the balcony, even though it has a nice atmosphere but I felt the some heat was lacking for the place. Just to let you know that apparently the lunch deal might not be there always because when I talked to the waiter he told me that they brought back the lunches.

This place is lovely. Very spacious and big. The lighting can be a bit bright in the middle of the restaurant but the booths and outdoor bit are perfect. Went on a Tuesday night and it had a great atmosphere, everyone chatting and relaxed. The staff are lovely, with great little aprons, all twisted and tied at the back. We ate so much food we nearly burst! The brushcetta was to die for with hints of garlic. Main was a chilli seafood rissotto to die for. Desert was delicious but random. Dough sticks covered in honey and pine nuts with dipping chocolate. mmm mmm mmmm mmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Go now and enjoy this lovely restaurant.

Zizzi is one of my favourite restaurants ever and my visit to this branch in leeds didn’t disappoint. I just had a pizza but it was so tasty and fresh and filling. I had my usual of chocolate melt for pudding which was divine as always. Lovely staff and décor.
