My boyfriend’s family loves country pubs, so that often ends up being our dinner of choice when I’m visiting!
The Pig and Whistle looked to have a lovely seating area outside, but it was pretty cool out so we got a cozy table inside. Lighting was dim but the atmosphere was definitely relaxing and inviting. I got the fish pie, which was delicious though frankly lacking in fish! It was hot and creamy, and when I did get a bite of fish it was fantastic (added a salty, smoky flavor). Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food and it was all well-​presented with good service.
