My experience of this branch of Curries was mixed. I purchased a camera from there which was faulty — all the pieces were in the box, but it wouldn’t charge up or turn on. I also felt that the staff weren’t very interested in advising me on the cameras — I asked for the customer advisor’s opinion on one and the only response I got was it’s all right, which wasn’t very helpful to me. However, when I returned the camera, I had a very different experience. I explained the problem and they immediately agreed to exchange the product. When it emerged that they had run out of stock, a staff member rang another store, found out that they had two, reserved one for me and, saying he lived near the store, offered to call in and collect it on his way to work the next morning so that I could collect it from my branch. I was very impressed with this service and felt he went above and beyond the call of duty — if only all the staff had been this helpful!
