Yes! This is a great place for dinner and a pint. I have a friend that moved out to this area and when I came into town this was the first place he took me to. Very glad he did. The food is amazing and the beer was great. A very nice spot right on the river. I will go back for sure

Nice pub far to pricey with the drinks £10 for a bottle of cider and a pint of lager is to much! The food prices look reasonable but will not be coming back for a while as drink prices are far too high.

Very good meal tonight and very efficient and friendly service as well. It’s hard trying to find somewhere that can consistently turn it on but last 4 or 5 trips hear for food has been spot on. I’ll certainly be back, especially as they are taking advance orders for whole lobster for their Wednesday night fish night!

Dump the kids with an available babysitter and head here for Sunday lunch. Parking is fairly close and alongside the Thames there is a lovely walk. This pub is right on the Thames and it was a beautiful sunny Sunday. We were able to get a table outside right beside the water. It is in a beautiful setting and very busy with people having lunch and more people mooring their boats to have a drink. Can you get done for driving a boat and drinking? I would say how the other half live but some of the boats were of the rowing variety. Ordered our food and a couple of glasses of Prosecco. The Sunday Roast(beef) at € 14.95 was excellent and the girls serving were brilliant… well did you think we would only have one glass of Prosecco each? More gravy(which was as good as my own… okay better) was requested and brought quickly. Dessert? Absolutely! Sticky Toffee Pud for my daughter and the Tipsy Trifle for me. The Trifle was the best I have ever had! Pure divine to the taste buds with the right amount of alcohol. The bad part: I want to live there! Buy one of the lovely little houses the other side of the Thames — although hugely expensive and we are talking thousands if not millions — and row over to this pub EVERY Sunday. …or buy a boat to live on… needless to say I was looking at the boats for sale as we walked back to the car.

If location is everything the The Anglers has it, sitting on the river, an attractive building, but somehow doesn’t quite hit the spot. It’s fine for a drink and possibly a snack, particularly in the summer, with outside seating by the Thames. But the restaurant isn’t so good, that is to say average. We had great starters, prawn and scallop chowder, baked brie. however the main courses weren’t as good, lamb was ok, pork seemed more of a rolled meat than belly pork. Having said that it’s not too badly priced, and the position is great, if booking ask for window seat. Service was fine.
