This little tea shop is quite lovely. It’s bright and airy, the décor is fresh, and the selection of teas and cakes is top notch. I had one of their giant blueberry scones with jam and cream, which was nice and The Husband had a lemon cake, which was equally nice(and gluten free). If we’re in Winchester and in need of light refreshments, we will return.

I fell in love with this boutique café a couple of years ago when I ventured around Winchester looking for hidden gems. The first time I went in, I enjoyed one of their divine selection of teas(provided by Tea Pigs) in the comfort of a brightly-lit window with a book. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Since then, I haven’t stopped loving Ginger Two. They’ve recently changed their teas to the local Char Tea range(which I literally can’t get enough of) which is fantastic, as well as their selection of cakes, tarts and giant scones(with a generous helping of clotted cream and jam!). All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, however it can get very busy at weekends so it’s best to visit on a quiet afternoon in the week. Definitely recommended for the tea– and coffee-savvy amongst us, and a great little addition to Winchester’s rich culture.
