We had a nice lunch and a pint here. After a short train ride in from Marylebone we grabbed a bite to eat. We later found out we were losing time to tour the castle but at the time we enjoyed ourselves. We walked around and looked at the posted menus and chose the George Inn by the looks of the place and the menu. It was a good choice. We both ordered sandwiches that we shared with each other. We ordered the sirloin steak sandwich and a chorizo and mozzarella melt sandwich. Both were served with chips or fries depending on where you are from. They were both good and we cleaned our plates. L8-L10($ 12-$ 15) per sandwich is pricey with what we pay in the states but common for what we found at most places during our time in England. It was nice to just hang out and enjoy a pint before we toured the castle. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed ourselves. I would rather eat here than on the other side of the bridge near the castle where it is more crowded and a lot more touristy. Glad we tried it out.
