Was looking for somewhere to go after Windsor Castle and found Meimo. The food was absolutely delicious we had a chicken brochette and a vegetarian tangine. Both were really good, and made us both want to visit Morocco! Great desserts, drink list and service too.

Really nice spot for a bit of respite from visiting Windsor Castle. Really nice turkish food, and great service. While there I noticed families coming in and the staff knowing their usual orders, names and holding conversation as well. A good sign of a well liked establishment. The food was great, had the soup and the mezze platter and really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend

Great variety of foods. Friendly staff. Each dish has its own savory flavor. We had lamb, chicken, Koufta and beef brochettes. All was excellent and worth repeating. When we were done the owner called a taxi for us and served us mint tea(on the house) while we waited.

On a recent outing to Windsor(I’m a castle fanatic) we were strolling around, trying to find a cheap but cheerful place to have some lunch. We walked past Meimo and I immediately noticed it but didn’t realize it was Moroccan. We passed by it again and noticed they had a great lunch special going so we thought we’d give it a try. We’re big fans of Moroccan food(and Morocco!) and we had someone with us who had never tried it. The lunch special consisted of two courses which my husband and his brother both ordered calamari(before we went to Morocco we never realized this is actually a popular dish there!). I decided not to do the lunch special and just order kofta skewers. The calamari was well seasoned and fresh and more than met our expectations. For the mains, I had the kofta skewers, as mentioned, and they were served with rice and salad. They were a bit too dry for my liking — certainly not the best I’ve had and could have done with an extra dose of seasoning. The boys both ordered the roast chicken which also came with salad and fries/chips. It was moist and juicy although could have also used a bit of a kick with spices. However, the homemade sauces served with it made up for that and we could reach our spicy quota. Overall, the service was good, the lunch specials were good(although there weren’t many Moroccan dishes for the lunch specials, they included things like sandwiches, a burger, the chicken, and some pasta). If I was in Windsor for dinner I’d definitely go back and try the tanginess — a couple next to us ordered them as we were leaving and they looked and smelled divine!
