While I was a student at Wolverhampton Uni, my laptop went bump (down the stairs to be precise) and I lost all my work and cracked the screen. I took it to PC World (the only PC shop I was aware of in the area when I first arrived) and it took them about 7 weeks to get it back to me — without either of the problems fixed (don’t ask!). Annoyed with PC World I found Universal Computer Systems, a local independent PC shop and they sorted the problem in 3 days and the laptop is still working perfectly 5 years on! I’ve used them ever since for things like data recovery on my memory sticks and the service has always been spot on. It’s pretty big with students I believe as the prices are low and the turn-​around times are very quick which is important when you have assignment deadlines round the corner!

I frequently visit UCS to get my family’s computer repairs and upgrades. Prices are competitive and the repairs are always very thorough and sort out my problems and turn-​around time for repairs is much quicker than the likes of PC World I find, which is important when you have kids desperate to check their Facebooks, etc!
Staff are friendly and efficient and just get the job done. It’s nice to have telephone support if I have other problems with the computer. I’ve been doing business with UCS for some years now and so far they’ve been consistent in quality and I’ll continue to get my repairs done there! Recommended if you are in the Wolverhampton area.
