Awesome place with vegetarian options. The food came quickly and was pretty good. Servers were nice and patient with us, as we had a group of 8. The only down side: you have to pay for tap water. :(

A very nice patio near the square, although we sat inside near the bar. The staff were friendly and spoke perfect English. The specials were good, very simple, and we’re a great deal for the price. Ordering off the diner menu seemed a little pricier and not sure if it’s worth that with so many restraunts nearby.

When to the rest. to make a reservation for 4 person. That was not possible. Only bigger parties can make reservations. We ate four very average burgers at 6:30 pm. outside under the heading lamps, which was quite cozy. Great service. Average food. Lots of people :-)

I was really excited to dine at Mandos last week. The environment is nice and has an energy which most any other establishments in the area are lacking. I also trusted the reviews and assumed it would be a quality establishment. We were promptly seated. As is the case with many restaurants in Europe, service is not their strong suit. Upon taking the waitresses recommendation, I ordered the ribs. They were described as excellent by the staff. Unfortunately, they were anything but edible. The ribs were exceptionally tough requiring a sharp steak knife to separate each rib. My teeth also did very little to improve separating any meat/grease from the bone. They appear to have only been boiled for 20 minutes and greased with some sweet tomato paste. Shortly after the food arrived, I politely expressed my dislike to the waitstaff when she inquired about my satisfaction. Complete indifference was expressed from the waitress towards my polite review of they quality. In fact, the waitress walked away after hearing my issue with the food quality offering no remedy or concern aside from the shrug of her shoulders. I managed to partially consume two of the ribs before deciding to give up on the fight. It took a concerned bus boy to notice something was wrong. I placed an order for some chicken(which my companion was eating) and quietly waited. The chicken was fine. It took quite a lot of convincing with the waitress and manager that I shouldn’t be paying for both the inedible ribs and the subsequent order of chicken. In the end, things were made right however I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. It’s clearly a tourist trap.

First of all, I really love Mondo. The food is quite good and they are good at not leaving burgers charred but just well cooked. It is a throwback and not like modern restaurants you find these days. That being said… the service is very spotty. I’ve been in for a burger afterwork and had perfect service — but I’ve also had the last two times in a row that when I asked for an odd drink I was given the wrong drink and treated like I was being very difficult when I pointed out the issue with the drink. Now I’m waiting to pay and writing this review. A few months ago I was here getting my drink and great service as usual and now I’m sitting here complaining on Unilocal.Please don’t tell me one of my favorite places now sucks.

I had the pepper steak and it was delicious with the plate looking really nice for a steakhouse. The meat was cooked right and the service was really nice. Although there were constantly servers asking people to order when they had already ordered, made it seem like they didn’t have a good control over the restaurant. Too much service is still better than too little right? I would prefer to have one server throughout my stay though. Overall I would definitely recommend it to people who like steaks and casual restaurants. Although now that I have had pepper steak in both Mando and Steakhouse(Lilla torg) I would recommend Steakhouse cause their sides and sauce was much more delicious, although they struggled with getting the steak to a medium when Mando did it perfectly.

When I arrived around 9pm, there’s still people waiting in line. Waiter’s were friendly and it didn’t take long to get a seat outside. Ordered pepper steak, 150g, very tender and juicy. The steak appeared to be smaller than I expected but absolutely enough for dinner. :)

Mein Mann und mein Sohn befinden sich zur Zeit in Malmö und auch sie sind schon von mir mit dem Unilocal-Fieber infiziert. Gestern Abend waren beide in diesem Steakhouse essen. Mein Mann hatte ein 200 g Steak mit Pommes und Sauce Béarnaise und mein Sohn Schollenfilet mit Salzkartoffeln, Salat und selbstgemachter Remoulade. Beide Gerichte überzeugten mit ihrer Qualität und dem Geschmack. Das Steak war auf den Punkt gebraten und richtig lecker. Gesessen haben beide im Außenbereich, der überdacht ist und mit vielen Strahlern auch wetterunabhängig macht. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Die Preise entsprechen dem schwedischen Standard. Einen Tisch kann man erst ab 8 Personen reservieren. Im Sommer wird mein Sohn dieses Restaurant auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen.

Absolutely perfect. First off, it was the best pepper steak I have had anywhere. Tender cut of meat that melts in your mouth, peppery but not over peppered, and a killer sauce. Second they have a number of on tap beers that are really good. And they’re cold! It’s the only cold beer I’ve had so far in Sweden(other places serve cooled beer, but not ice cold.) Third they have super nice and responsive service. And fourth it’s a very nice facility. Comfortable and well done without being over fancy. Wish they had one in Boulder where I live. I’d go weekly.

Sehr lecker, knoblauchbrott, gegrillter Spargel, Césarsalat für 2 Personen, dazu jeder ein Getränk macht hier locker zusammen 90EUR!!! Absolut kein schäppchen aber.

A Malmö classic. Famous for its plank steak since 1975(soon they’ve served 1 millions of them). A little bit better fast food restaurant(comparing with Burger King). If you love food you will not be impressed but they know the difference between medium and rare which is rare in Sweden.

The Mando Steakhouse is located very near the ‘Lilla torg’ in Malmo. All restaurants around that area are generally risky bets as there are way too many tourists around there. Mando does unfortunately fall in to the category ‘tourist trap’. The décor is nice and the location is good. The food is however not suited as human food and the pricing is also to high. If you want good meat go to Bastard or Sture’s(former Vendel at Sturehof) instead

Sehr chic und lecker! Ich war bereits zwei Mal dort. Wer Appetit auf Steaks, Chili & Co. hat, der wird dort nicht enttäuscht. Das Restaurant ist immer gut besucht. Die Speisekarte gibt es sogar auf Nachfrage auch in deutsch.

Delicious steaks served on thick wooden platters. Don’t order a salad here, this is a Steakhouse and thats what they do best. The décor is remniscent of an ancient submarine or ship and the service is fast and friendly.

This is one of those places where you know what you’re gonna get. You come here for the steak on a wooden platter. The menu has been the same since 1975 and they even keep track on how many wooden platters they’ve served over the years. They broke the 500000 barrier a few years ago. What they do they do well and the service is swift and pleasant. Recommended
