Historique
Fondé en 1844.
Ever since the 2005 transformation of the old grill room into the Rive Gauche Restaurant and Bar at the Baur au Lac, the restaurant at the rear of the hotel has been considered one of Zurich’s trendiest, «hottest» restaurants. Imagined by interior designer Cornelius de Fries, and under the gastronomic guidance of Panagiotis Kissas, the restaurant’s dark wooden tables, mint-colored leather sofas and matching ambient lighting give a clear indication of the inspiration provided by exclusive establishments in New York, Paris or London.
