Easy to locate and a neat landmark to stop by. Lots of food and drinks to choose from. Friendly staff. remember to bring a sack or they charge you for one.

Right beside Mozart’s birth-house/museum in old town, this tiny SPAR has a remarkable collection of great Austrian beer and wine, cheeses, take-away veggies, crisps, chocolates, etc. etc. etc. at surprisingly a fraction of the price of other convenient markets around town… for example, Stiegl tallboys run you .99 Euro here, 2.49 Euro elsewhere. Also, you can find a decent 750ml bottle Blaufrankisch red wine for less than 5 Euro(!) here, while at other places around town, the cheapest option might be 3 Euro for .25L. I expected to be ripped off here and found quite the contrary. My hat is off to this SPAR location for giving tourists like me great quality at a decent price.
