I give Kelly’s a 3.5! Went here for a quick bite during an afternoon Oilers game. The pub was fairly full but we found a spot(it’s self seating). The layout of tvs was a good viewing for all seats. As I wasn’t very hungry I ended up sharing the vegetable drip and chicken dumplings. The vegetable dip came with hummus, ranch and a red pepper edamame type dip. It also came with bread. It was a healthy portion but of course, we were left with leftover dip and nothing to dip it in. The chicken dumplings were delicious. The was like a deep friend wonton with chicken, bacon and cream cheese. They were pretty rich though, so I would suggest sharing this dish. Service was pretty good. We did have to wait a while at the end to pay though. Aside from the lack of parking, this will be a great spot when the new arena opens up.

Absolutely love Kelly’s. I’ve been coming here for 2 ½ years now. Love the service, food, and the atmosphere.

Decent pub in the heart of downtown. There are lots of good food choices on 104st, but Kelly’s is the go to for casual frolic and fun. Nice patio in summer, and warm atmosphere inside the rest of the year. Parking is sparse at night, but Kelly’s validate for the Impark lot across the street. I have eaten here on more than one occasion, and found the food to be very good pub fair. Burgers and sandwiches are generous and tasty, and the fish tacos were very good. Staff are pleasant, and the service has been good, though it can get spotty when things are really hopping. Not the biggest room, and it can get cozy in there on a busy night. All around, I recommend this as a great watering hole in the neighbourhood.

I haven’t tried any of the food here and only came for drinks. I actually came for a business meeting on a Friday mid afternoon and the place had a few patrons drinking up and ready to start the weekend! We were seated towards the back and pushed a few tables together as most were for 2 or 4 people. Because we were arriving at different times, the server would come as people arrived to get their drink orders. I looked at the drink menu and there was a good variety to choose from beers, cocktails, and martinis. I chose a fruity drink that came served with ice and served in a mason jar which was nice to have a handle. I liked it and could have ordered another if it weren’t for a business meeting! I found the noise level was ok when I first arrived but then it seemed to get louder. It could have been from the TVs showing sports and more people being in the pub. When I left it was just about closing time and getting busy with workers having a drink to celebrate the end of the work week. The long tables near the front were occupied with groups. The server was good to get our drink orders and drinks and then left us to chat. I didn’t look at the food menu but wouldn’t oppose to having a meal here next time. Washrooms were near the back but there wasn’t much traffic walking by our tables.

A great pub on 104st downtown Edmonton, fantastic service, food and drinks. Excellent to watch any sport with all the HDTV’s.

I want to love Kelly’s I really do. My main complaint is how inconsistent it is. I find it can be very hit or miss with the service. I was there last weekend and had a great waitress who made sure we were well taken care of, even if it took forever for the bartender to make our drinks as soon as they were made she had them in front of us. She made some great recommendations for food which we all loved. I forget her name, but I overheard her talking to a table of what I’m guessing are regulars as they seemed to know her and asking if she was«back for good», I guess she isn’t and was just filling in for someone for the night which is unfortunate because the few times I went to Kelly’s before I found the other waitresses to be either inattentive or rude. The food and drinks have always been good. But I’m guessing it’s the kind of place you have frequent often if you want to have a good time.

Just went for drinks with friends on a Saturday night. The server didn’t tell us about specials or anything and then they were out of the beer we tried to order(only 5 or so on tap so it shouldn’t be hard to keep them stocked.). Whatever, we ordered a different kind. But it took 20 minutes for her to come back with it. It was just beer — it doesn’t take that long to pour. All around, slow service all night. Except when she brought the bill; then she came back with the machine within 2 seconds, before anybody had even looked at it or pulled out their wallets. Not likely to go back. Nothing special.

Great place for a pint with friends, but the food and customer service leaves a little to be desired.

Went in to watch Fifa on a Saturday night. Our group was excited because we managed to find a table for all of us. The table was dirty, so we gathered the dishes for the waitress. She came over and was mad because she couldn’t reach all the dishes, even though we were handing them to her. Someone asked if she could wipe the table and she rolled her eyes and stormed off. The orders came out with all the sides mixed up. Not a big deal. But she was extremely rude and said it was because she couldn’t hear us… So ask again if you can’t hear ? We also asked her a few questions about the menu and what’s on tap and she answered with«I don’t know». I usually love Kelly’s but the service was so terrible. Just left such a bad impression.

Our waitress looked and acted as if we were a bother. I ordered a gin and soda took over 5min to get. Ordered a poutine took 25min, and asked if I could get a fork, well had to ask a second time. The poutine was flavorless I don’t use salt and added some it didn’t help. The bucket it was served made feel like u was eating out of a garbage can Calamari if you tried it blind folded you wouldn’t know what meat it was.

ONLYCOMEHERETODRINKEVERYTHINGELSESUCKS. The food is awful. We ordered nachos and wings, the two easiest things to EVER order on ANY menu and they both sucked. The nachos were in fact the worst I’ve ever had. Like how easy is it to make nachos. It’s not even a recipe. Its just piling stuff on top of other stuff. Except at Kelly’s, where you get chips piled with nothing. The most pathetic little dish I’ve ever seen. The wings were just OK. I order salt and pepper with a side of hot sauce. The hot sauce was a bottle of Franks. Booooooring. Additionally, 2 out 3 women’s washrooms were either locked or without toilet paper all night. Brutal. The two saving graces and the only reasons this is a 3 star and not a 2 star review; this place was bumpin’ on a Saturday night and our waitress was excellent. Even though this place is within walking distance of my house I’ll never return for any other reason than to get bombed on a Saturday night.

This place is always busy and lively. I live just upstairs in the Icon so I love being able to come down on a whim for a drink and live music. It gets even better as summer approaches and they have their patio set up!

I’ve only been to Kelly’s Pub a couple times for brunch on the weekend, but it’s been really great each time. The food is good and not too expensive(although the breakfast sandwich thing was a little bland. I think the food quality depends on what you order and who’s cooking), staff are very nice, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Will definitely return on a Friday night to test out the huge drink menu!

Kelly’s is a great local pub to come out and socialize. The staff is amazing and very friendly. There is a good outdoor patio that you can come out and people watch and eat lunch. The fish and chips here are very good. They also have some good karaōke on Sunday nights and you have a mixture of singers that come up. On Thursday nights they have jamaoke nights with the Nervous Flirts. Basically it’s singing karaōke with a live band. What a blast. Come on down if you want a good friendly atmosphere.

You really can’t beat this play if you’re looking for a local pub downtown. The food has some great value(Monday is wing nights) and the happy hour prices rock(see photo) I watched them come out with a cheese pizza, and wings and they both came out great. We came here on a random night, and the prices for 2 beers here were cheaper than 1 beer at craft(and yes, it was the exact same beer) Super friendly inside, I’ve seen stags here, and old guys with beers at the bar. It’s kind of tucked in, so you might not see it. But it’s worth going. Pros Good prices Feels like a neighborhood pub Cons Sometimes understaffed.

This place was a huge disappointment. I wandered in to Kelly’s at around 11:15 on a Saturday night because my friend and I were looking for a place where the kitchen was still open. There was barely anyone there, so I got the vibe right away that this probably isn’t one of Edmonton’s hotspots. We sat down and waited… And waited… And waited… It was about 11:30 before a server finally came. We asked if the kitchen was still open and she looked at the time and made it pretty obvious that it would suck for us to order food that late. «Only if you order within the next 5 minutes,» she said. No problem, we were starving… We would just order whatever. She brought us the menus and right on the menu it says: «This menu is available until midnight.» So… Technically we had half an hour? Technically we could have ordered sooner… If anyone had seen to us… But whatever. We ordered the spinach dip and the poutine to share between the two of us. About 15 min later, we overheard her going around to other tables for the kitchen’s «last call» so I don’t know why she made us feel so bad about wanting to order food??? When our food finally came, it was super disappointing. The spinach dip itself wasn’t awful, but the pita and veggies it came with were. The pita had this weird aftertaste to it… That tasted like the smell of when you’re cleaning your oven. Does that make sense? Like you know when you heat up your oven to clean it and that chemical-y smell wafts through your house? That’s what the pita tasted like! Maybe they gotta clean their oven or something. The veggies were even worse. The red peppers and carrots were not fresh enough to dip, they were floppy and clearly really old. If they were nice and crisp then you would be able to dip them. The celery had brown spots on it. The poutine wasn’t even really poutine. There was barely any cheese or gravy, but TONS of sour cream. The fries were way too salty. Overall, we ordered 2 appetizers and a drink each, and our bill came to $ 40. We felt so ripped off. Would have been better off just going for fast food somewhere… We were ready to leave and it took FOREVER for the server to come back again to bring us the bill. My friend actually said, «we would’ve been better off just staying home.» Yup. It’s true. This place was NOT worth it. Terrible experience.

I tried to go to Kelly’s once many months ago, but it was packed and the waitress who told us so was a mega b-word, so I turned around and walked out rather than waiting for a table. I finally returned last night for the première of the KickupaFuss music video. Arrived around 7pm and it wasn’t full, even though there was an Oilers game. Grabbed a table and the waitress took drink orders right away. However, she didn’t bring food menus even though it was the dinner hour. After a couple of visits to our table I had to ask for menus. My uncle ordered a caeser and it came with a pepper, a bean AND a pepperoni stick. Nice. There were four of us and we all ordered different thing — a sandwich, a burger, fish and chips and shepherd’s pie. Food took longer to come out than I like. I had the wild mushroom burger($ 15) and really enjoyed it. Everyone seemed to like what they had. Our waitress was nice, and she did mention she was new, but the service was still super slow. There was another girl clearing tables and she literally stood right in front of me for 30 seconds right while the music video was playing — THEEVENTTHATEVERYONEWASTHEREFOR. I kept moving my head around to try to look around her. Take a hint, lady. Do it during the hockey game that I don’t care about, not during the specific thing that all of these people are here for. I should mention that my cousin is in this band so I really wanted to see it. Judging by the other reviews and the first time I tried to go to Kelly’s, service is generally always poor. I really liked my meal but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. If invited, yes.

I want to love Kelly’s, I really do. When it relocated to 104th Street, I was excited. The neighbourhood feel of the former location was fantastic, and it was a decidedly unpretentious place to grab a pint. Unfortunately, the new location suffers from a few problems: 1) Service — It’s been consistently disappointing, and my sample size is around 10 visits, so no one-off bad experience tainting this review. Some of the servers are great — until you’re transferred to a dud server that never bothers to visit you again. When this problem was addressed, the server in question was defensive and unapologetic. Bad news. 2) Food — Inconsistent. Some food here is delish — I LOVE their pig wings, for example: the giant ribs smothered in barbeque sauce are to die for. However, other dishes fall flat or worse. These include over-salted deviled eggs(which have mercifully been removed from the menu), to improperly-cooked pizza. 3) Temperature — This may seem like a nitpick, but in a winter city like Edmonton, it is worth mentioning. Pubs should be cozy and comfortable, but Kelly’s is always freezing cold. I have no idea why, but the last few times I’ve come by I forgot to layer and paid the price through my whole stay. If Kelly’s gets its act together, it could be a really great space! They’ve got a cool venue, great location, the infrastructure and even some wonderful menu items. But until they work on their service and bring up the quality of the food(as well as the thermostat) it’ll be a once in a blue moon spot for me.

Conveniently located down the street from Credo this new pub opened up about two months ago. It definitely has a trendy vibe inside and it does seem like a «hip» place. There are lots of tables here with a decent sized bar. That being said I kind of get the feeling it’s one of those places that try to be everything. The music is really loud in here and that makes the voices of the patrons louder, which results in a continuous positive feedback loop that hurts my head. This definitely is not the place if you are a micro brew beer person as the selection is limited to the commercial. I tried my first Tennants here because it was«different.» And later learned that the $ 7.50 they charged is ridiculous compared to the 1.50 pounds they charge for this stuff in Scotland. Wasn’t pleased about that. The service was below average. I don’t know if they are understaffed, but they were extremely slow. Once I inquired about if they lacked appropriate staffing the service did pick up. The bright spot would have to be the Silk Road burger. It is decent. The fix-in’s were skimpy, but the meat of the burger was really good. Not worth the $ 15 though(comes with a small side salad). For me, this wouldn’t be a first or second choice in the area. But I will come back to see if things have improved. It was a Friday night so maybe that had something to do with it.

Stumble upon this place as we were looking for a spot to celebrate new years eve. Found two seats at the bar and tied one on. The bartender, Jeff, was awesome. Even though we were not locals and we were in all of our hockey garb(we traveled there for a Ducks game), they were super nice and took care of us. Even though the place was busy we always had a drink, they even were able to get us good food pretty quickly despite how busy they were.
