When in Port Hardy, this is the place to get an awesome coffee/expresso. Even tried their pecan cinnamon bun and it was huge and delicious! Wish I had more time to sit down to enjoy the ambience.

Great little spot! Good coffee, good food and a cute little bookstore. Add the friendly staff and it makes a perfect little stop.

Café Guido, my home away from home for a day after my travel came to a screeching halt… a stolen passport! I am very sorry that my memory does not recall the kind employee that helped me secure the airline information that supported my situation, but her face and hug are well remembered! Although I did not make the rehearsal dinner, the wedding was beautiful! Thank-you, thank-you!(…and the rest of the trip could finish a full sized book! Thank-goodness for helpful Canadians!!!) **** Café Guido****** more than a coffee shop!!!

Amazing mecca in Port Hardy. Its not just a great coffee spot but a good place for breakfast sandwiches or scones with your morning coffee. Soup, salad and a long list of pannini are offered for lunch, with a long list of cold tea and coffee drinks. Good quality ingredients and well executed. These guys have raised the bar in Port Hardy!

When you’re in Port Hardy after a long day out in the rain and you need a cuppa make sure you check out Café Guido. I spent a month working up here and it was my mecca. The café and its staff are both warm and inviting. Everything I ordered was beyond my expectations. They make a mean slow pressed espresso, a rich creamy hot chocolate, savory sandwiches and some dangerously addictive scones. I assumed the scones are made by the kind man wearing the ‘scone king’ T-shirt behind the counter. I think the lemon raspberry is the most popular, but I particularly liked the pumpkin. They were so buttery and rich oh I want another one, but good thing I am now at home and temptation is far away. The other great thing about this coffee shop is that they have a new and used book store in the basement which also has a very nice selection of housewares and gifts. Upstairs there is another store which features some wonderful arts and crafts most of which are made locally.
