This isn’t your average packaged smoked salmon you find in your grocery store, this is the real deal. The smoked fish will be the freshest you’ve ever had. I was lucky enough to try 2 of their top sellers. The Indian Candy Salmon Strips and the Original Candied Smoked Salmon Nuggets.
The Original Smoked Salmon Nuggets were juicier plump pieces. Quite a snack or appetizer to serve your guests. I guarantee they will be asking for details about the fish later on.
The Indian Candy Salmon Strips were my favorite since it was similar to juicy beef jerky, but smoked. Of course it’s not as tough and chewy as beef jerky, but it reminded me of it. The strips were savory with just a hint of sweetness. I find all the other versions of candy smoked salmon in stores are way too sweet.
The only downside is that you’ll need to order a minimum of $ 250 on their website if you wanted anything shipped to you.

When I found out that Hardy Buoys Smoked Fish Inc. had a store front in Port Hardy I immediately made a b-​line to the shop. Upon entering I ordered a packet of candied smoked salmon nuggets and nibbled on them as I browsed around the store. I ended up buying two bags of candied smoked salmon, one bag of smoked salmon peperoni and three black pepper smoked sides. Since I spent so much money they threw in another bag of nuggets for free. Everything I have ever eaten from Hardy Buoys is of the best quality. I am a super fan of this business. When you buy at the shop the prices are very reasonable. It looks like they also ship if you live out of town.
