Macandale’s

Macandale’s saved me last year when I was sent to work in Port Hardy for one week and ended up there for four. The seasons were changing from Fall to winter and I just didn’t bring enough warm water proof clothing. Macandale’s fortunately stocks some of the most tried and true work gear you can buy. They carry my favourite Helly Hansen thermal underwear and they even have thermal lined waterproof gloves. They also have a wide variety of arctic grade work socks for men and women. They also carry good quality rain gear and work boots. Everything I needed seemed to be fairly reasonable in price and some of it was even on sale.
Looking around the shop they have a bit of everything. They have marine supplies, logging gear, gardening tools, outdoor recreation gear for atv’s and and even the atv’s themselves. They also carry and repair chainsaws, hedge trimmers and other small engine tools.
If you need something and can’t afford to buy it out right they also rent equipment for your gardening or small construction project.
The staff here were always eager to help out. They have a lot of small parts in the back so feel free to ask if you need something. You never know they might not have it on the floor, but they may have it tucked away somewhere.
