This place was so amazing the first time we went. We were so impressed that we went back 2 days later. The second experience wasn’t so great. The food didn’t taste the same, consistency is key when it comes to food. We didn’t go back after being disappointed the second time.

Service was terrible I seriously think our waiter was the dish washer but was helping out. Food was just OK. I would try somewhere else.

I came here with a friend in September when we were on vacation in Barcelona. We decided to try the prix fixe tapas menu(you get to taste ~7 tapas, plus dessert, plus sangria as well as a welcome glass of cava for only 19 euros). The cava sangria was absolutely delicious, light, and refreshing; however, if you want something a little stronger, then you should order something else, as my friend and I were barely buzzed after consuming a pitcher each. The tapas came out very hurriedly; at some times, we had three different plates on our table. The first three tapas included bread with tomato, a homemade salad, and peppers with small ham cubes. The bread with tomato was a little bland and the salad was not particularly special, but the peppers were nicely seasoned and fresh-tasting. After that, we were given a platter of cured meats, which was great as is expected of Spanish meat plates. The next tapa was a blood sausage and chorizo combo. The chorizo was very spicy(in a great way) and paired well with the blood sausage/rice. Afterwards, they brought out an egg and potato casserole that was hearty and filling, with a duck foie flavoring that provided a deep richness to the plate. The prawns were well-cooked and seasoned. The dessert, the Catalan cream, was disappointing; it was overly sweet, and didn’t have the right balance of temperatures/flavors that I expected. I would probably give the food a 3 overall; however, the fact that we got all that food, dessert, and cava sangria(which left us completely stuffed) for only 19 euros brings this to a 4. It is a very reasonably priced restaurant, and the prix fixe tapas menu gives you a wide variety of interesting tapas to try.

This restaurant was as good as advertised. 27 euro for a complete meal. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was very friendly. The staff even explained the proper way to eat the bread and tomato before dinner. Much higher quality food than most good restaurants in the states. Menu is in English which helped, but the waiter explained everything. I would recommend it to travelers for a relaxing evening away from more crowded restaurants.

Just okay. Service was very slow and they never checked in to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. My son’s food arrived way before mine and he was finished before mine ever came out. I went for the paella, but was not at all impressed. Was really hoping for an authentic Spanish dinner but left feeling rather disappointed. We had to wait for a 9 pm reservation, but the place appeared to be able to accommodate us much earlier(far from crowded). On the upside, the sangria and house salad were delicious and attractive and my son loved his grilled chicken. The prices were certainly reasonable.

We had lunch here for their 4.5 star review and it was a great choice! The food was delicious, I love everything I had, especially spegetti and steak. The food is five star — no doubt. I can’t believe it’s only 13 euro for 3 courses(actually 4 courses because coffee is included too). The only downside is no English menu… The stuff tried very hard to explain but still hard to understand :(

Such a fun dining experience! We had a wonderful time dining with 336 during our visit in Barcelona. The staff, food and atmosphere were all great. I opted for the pre-fix menu– 27 euro which includes starter, main and dessert along with a glass of wine. It offers you choices without being overwhelmed with decisions and spending a ton of money. I had mussels, lamb shoulder and the Catalonian cream to finish – all great choices. My husband opted for the Caprese salad to start and then the steak. The staff presented his steak in addition to a hot rock so he could continue cooking the steak to his liking. After about 10 minutes they swapped the rock and we were good to go again. The portions were perfect, not too much and yet you didn’t walk away hungry. The prices on the food and wine were about average. Presentation was fun without being out of control and intrusive of the taste – over a great dining experience. 336 is an easy to find location about 5 minutes from the main drag.

Este lugar es ESPECTACULAR! Simplemente me fascina! No he visitado ya en algunos meses pero escuché que Christian(Chef) ya no esta en este sitio… Espero que la comida y el servicio sigan siendo parecidos a lo que siempre han sido!

This was a last minute decision to dine here due to unexpected wet weather. While shopping in the area, the onset of heavy showers encouraged me to look for a dining option other than the one originally planned(way across town). After a quick scan of the window menu, the fare seemed decent, and from the damp exterior looking in, the restaurant the interior seemed modern and well designed. I decided to try their prix fixe menu –19 Euros per person. A few courses in, I thought I had made a mistake. The first three courses and our drink orders flew out of the kitchen — beating the efficient of fast food joints. Also, there were not that many diners at the restaurant — it seemed a bit quiet — perhaps due to the weather, or being a few blocks away from the touristy Passage de gracia. This restaurant had more a neighborhood vibe too it. Despite the rapid pace of food coming out, the quality, taste, and presentation were spot on. Luckily the kitchen slowed down but because of the earlier lighting fast order delivery, slowing down back to normal pace seemed like it was going in slow motion. Once the pace was stabilized, it was fine. I particularly enjoyed the blood sausage — flavorful, juicy, well seasoned, and paired well with the chorizo. The deconstructed spanish omelette was fun — creative interpretation of a traditional dish. The last savory dish was the succulent grilled prawns. A good place to dine a few blocks from shopper’s paradise. Insulated enough to provide a brief respite before exploring the stores a few blocks away. I’m assuming the fast pace of the first three order was an anomaly — and that with a decent pace of service, this place would be that much better to an already solid dining experience.

After reading other reviews before coming to Barcelona, 336 Restaurant stood out. Why you might ask? Where can you get a 3 course meal(plus house wine & glass of champagne to start the meal) for 27 Euro. The first course was blood sausage. The blood sausage was on a bed of dark, bed of black rice and other flavor topped off by a pimiento padron Pepper. It was very good! The second was the lamb shoulder with potatoes and pimiento padron peppers. Normally I don’t mind a nice portion, yet between the 1st2 courses, it was plenty of food! The lam shoulder was cooked perfectly. The third and last course was the pineapple carpaccio with saffron and vanilla ice cream. The pineapple is exactly a carpaccio, very thin topped off with a skin of saffron on top of vanilla ice cream. The portion was perfect, very light and a nice cleansing of the palate. The service was fine as I was the first person in for dinner. No issue with the staff whatsoever. Plus rarely had to wait between courses. Also, the waitress was very helpful helping me «refined» my Spanish! The total bill came to 27 Euro(including ½ liter of sparkling water). Very reasonable(and cheap, IMO) for the value of the meal. Definitely recommend this place!

We had a 5 course, 2 person dinner for € 17/person. Drinks were included(we got a huge pitcher of sangria), food was fresh and well-made, and the staff was extremely friendly. Overall, fantastic dinner location run by a local chef. Dont pass up on this place, especially if you’re staying downtown!

Picked this restaurant because of a blog I read from an avid traveler who’d had an excellent experience here. So glad we took his recommendation! First, let me say that this is a nice restaurant but small. Reservations should be made, once a number of seats are filled they do not accept walk ins. They have a prix fix menu with tons of options that I highly recommend, the price includes wine or sangria(an entire bottle), a great value! However, if you would rather, there’s a separate, a la cart menu as well. Upon seating, everyone is greated with a complimentary glass of Cava. For our first course I chose the charcuterie platter of meats(a huge sampling) that included salamies, ham, etc. My boyfriend chose potatoes with foie gras and fried egg. This may sound random, but it is amazingly delicious! For my entrée I ordered seabass and he ordered the steak. Both were great. I was served a whole fish, I just kinda stared for a second and asked the server how I begin to filet the fish. The owner/chef was behind her heard my request. He swooped in, took the plate and a little later returned with the fish nicely fileted and ready to eat! For dessert we had the cream brule, well, Spain’s version. It was just okay. Top sugar was a bit burned. But, our server gave us a lemoncello instead, much better in my opinion! This restaurant serves delicious food with great service in a nice atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend.

A strong 3.5, but not quite a 4. Service– 5⁄5 excellent for being kind and polite. Atmosphere– 5⁄5 really nice! They want to emphasize a quality meal that doesn’t cost horribly much. Food– some things done really well, some aren’t as well. We did the prix fixe menu, which had plenty of variety. — bread with garlic and tomato– 5⁄5! — Mushroom croquettes– 3⁄5 the barbecue sauce with a mushroom croquette is honestly pretty strange! — shrimp starter– 3⁄5 the portion is crazy large! Served sizzling in front of you. My biggest beef(or shrimp?) is that they don’t devein the shrimp at all, which is a hardcore rookie mistake of any nice restaurant! You’re trying to eat shrimp while picking the poop out of them, and they end up overlooking quickly if you’re not careful also. — lamb– 3.5÷5 juicy and really fatty. Served with sides that were in a lot of oil. — steak– if you order medium rare, it will probably come out raw. Three other tables ordered hot stones for the meat to be cooked on again. Other than that, taste was nice. — Catalan cream– 3⁄5 it’s an egg custard tart. It was okay, just not particularly good. This place is really nice and was a nice find, but a some of the dishes just had something strange or wrong about them. In general a very nice dinner for the price, and I’d give it a second shot.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The starters were nothing special, more like sub-par. It was just bland. The main course(entrecôte) were great, like a 4⁄5. However, I got a hair on my tomatoes but they changed the whole plate without question when I told them about it. But I should’nt need to point that out in the first place and therefore they get a 2⁄5. The dessert was a joke! My partner had Catalan cream, one of the worst desserts I’v had in a long time. I think it was frozen to begin with since the bottom layer were like a dough and really nasty. I had the pineapple with icecream and it tasted like perfume. The service were ok but not great, they diddnt poor you water and the house wine were not good at all, just bland. I did ask for a full body red but we got a mediocre table wine. I regret that I trusted the previous reviews since I brought my partner here and she was not impressed. Will not come back again.

The food was fantastic! We had read the reviews and decided to go here as it was a 1 minute walk from our hotel. We had the menu do the day for 27 € and couldn’t believe it! Opened with a glass of champagne them bread with tomato the we had had gamba’s, 6 each which could have been a meal! I had the lamb shoulder which was the best I’ve ever had!!! My wife had the sole which was delicious. They didn’t have crème brûlée tonight but will on Monday, so we have to come back! Ha, ha. With a bottle of wine and the extra of water our bill as 57 €! Fantastic place you have to go to if you want great food at a reasonable price.

Blown away by great food and service. Traveling on a business/fun trip we got so very lucky to find 336. We made a reservation through Unilocal 2 weeks in advance and when we got to the restaurant they were ready for our party of 8 and all smiles. Since this was a business trip(with wives and a couple of my biz partner’s teenage sons) we had been going pretty big on our meals and frankly had tapa’d out, we were craving a good solid meal. I went a bit overboard and got a perfectly cooked 1 kilo(yes 2.3lb) rib eye steak. I also had the best Caesar salad I have ever had, serious fresh anchovies some Iberian jamone and just the best cheese. My wife got an amazing caprese salad and chicken. Both of my business partners got New York steaks. Not sure what everyone else had? We had great service and a few bottles of Spanish wine that the owner(not sure) recommended. We also had 7 deserts. Again, by far the best meal we had in Barcelona. I can’t say enough. I believe our total bill including two $ 22 euro bottles of wine was $ 168 euros. Such a bargain for the quality.

I had a wonderful Spanish dinner here! I came in with a party for the 27 euro fixed price menu, and we embarked on a wonderful culinary journey. We enjoyed: 1. Champagne 2. Tapas: –Bread with fresh tomatoes and garlic –Meats & cheese –Potatoes with foie gras –Shrimp –Ham and mushroom croquettes 3. Red wine 4. Entrees — I chose pulpo(octopus) 5. Sangria 6. Dessert — crème brûlée 7. After dinner liqueurs! The quality of the food was excellent. I stuffed myself silly, and couldn’t even finish the crème brûlée! I especially loved the sangria, and the servers were friendly and helpful. The chef even came out to greet us! Thank you to 336 for taking great care of my flight crew. If you want a fantastic meal at a perfectly reasonable price, this is your destination. Reservations recommended.

Wonderful place to dine in Barcelona! Just make sure to bring your appetite! The Chef was so friendly, welcoming, and eager to share his craft. He even recommended another restaurant for«the best paella in Barcelona»(which showed us how much he cared). He explained that his restaurant specializes in «comfort food». Everything was delicious here and the portions are more than generous(Honestly, an entrée could easily be shared). I especially loved the mussels and my dessert of Catalan cream. A wonderful spot! Thank you for a great evening.

This place was amazing and is a block from the Renaissance hotel. We dined for lunch with a mult-course meal. Portions are huge, but no English is spoken. We googled the menu and got the gist of it. We ordered the«peach» dessert and got a whole peach with a knife. Guess I need to work on my Spanish. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.
