The place is very friendly, clean, and the food delicious :) You must try it during your stay.

I’m a bit tardy on getting a review posted for this establishment, but it made such a great impression on my husband & I that I had to write something. We were traveling all throughout Europe this past summer and ate quite a bit of yummy gelato — but this place far surpassed any of them! My husband’s favorite flavor was Cherry — very true to the fruit and luscious in texture. We also patroned them in Paris, as well! Thanks for the tasty snack experiences.

my husband and i were walking towards las ramblas when we saw a bunch of folks with these beautifully shaped ice cream cones in their hands… what could it be? where did they get these from? it didn’t take long for me to see that they were all walking out of amorino, a very high end gelateria right by the las ramblas. although it was far more expensive than what i’d ever spend on gelato or ice cream in the states, where else was i gonna find a place that carved the gelato into the shape of an elegant rose? for € 4,50, i was allowed to choose up to 5 flavours for my regular-sized cone, which was actually difficult b/c i liked every flavour that i saw! i ended up choosing raspberry, strawberry, mango, fig, and coconut, all fruity flavours, but since i had to share with my husband, fruity flavours were safer. the guy behind the counter definitely did a great job sculpting my cone into a beautiful rose… such a shame i had to ruin that when i started eating it! every flavour was delicious and i could clearly taste each flavour with every bite. i also picked a macaron, since i was there, and it looked really yummy… they had a variety of flavours, but i ended up choosing raspberry. it was good, not out of this world, but it had the crisp cookie wafer on the outside and creamy texture on the inside which i liked. the total? a little over € 6 for the 5 flavoured rose-shaped gelato cone and small macaron. definitely a steep price for dessert, but it was worth it to see the gelato designed do his thing. note: the staff here speak really good english so if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!

This chain has several locations throughout the world and makes pretty creamy gelato. This location is on Les Rambles and nearby the Font de Canaletes(the legendary fountain where if you drink from it, you will fall in love with Barcelona and always return to the city). No seating available. The employees speak English well enough. Pricing as of 5÷14÷2015 *~Cone~* Large: 5,50 € Regular: 4,50 € Small:3,50 € *~Cup~* Giant: 9,50 € Extra Large: 7,50 € Large: 5,50 € Regular: 4,50 € Small: 3,50 € Flavors: Pistachio Grapefruit Coffee Speculoos Hazelnut Bourbon Vanilla Tahitian Vanilla Stracciatella Yogurt Mango Coconut Strawberry Raspberry Lemon Passion Fruit Salted Caramel Amaretto Cherry Tiramisu Dulce de Leche Banana Cream Milk Chocolate Ecuadorian Chocolate Lactose Free Chocolate Sorbet Unique(Chocolate & Hazelnut) Not sure if we didn’t get our gelato in flower shape because they either 1) don’t do it anymore or 2) don’t make them in cups, but no pretty shape for us. =(I had the pistachio and speculoos while the BF had vanilla and grapefruit. The pistachio wasn’t on the strong side but did have small bits in the scoop. The speculoos also had chunks of the biscuit in the scoop as well which added a slight crumbly texture. The vanilla was strong and the grapefruit was more on the tart side. Great flavors but not the best gelato I’ve had. Having just visited Rome the day before, our favorite was Il Gelato di San Crispino(so definitely try them out if you’re in Roma!). Credit cards accepted

Decent artistry in ice cream flower formation. We don’t have this in America(or at least I don’t think we do) so this was big deal as I’m sure it should be for any other Asian tourist. I actually thought this only existed via Photoshop on Instagram before I found it. I have gone to the Amorino location near the Cathedral but the«flower» didn’t look the same, kinda flat looking. I prefer this location. Loved all the chocolate and coffee flavors.

I was just walking by and saw a beautiful little gelato shop. at first it’s la rambla so I thought — tourist trap!!! but then the friendly workers inside offered to let me try some flavors. WOWWWW! best gelato and I’ve had everything from italy to paris!!! my husband got mango(AMAZING) and I had tiramisu(MYFAVE!). the guy even made my tiramisu into the shape of a flower :) loved it and completed my barcelona experience! I’ll be back tomorrow!

Great gelato place. Downside is location– it is in the middle of a VERY busy street but taste makes up for it. I tried coconut, pistachio and hazelnut. Literally melts in your mouth and leaves you craving for more. Wish I got the largest size. Would go back to Barcelona just for this.

Decent place to get dessert off of La Rambla. We were a bit disappointed with our gelato«flower» because it didn’t look like a flower at all. It was haphazardly put on the cone and the employees didn’t seem to really care much. We had mango and coffee and the flavors were pretty good, but it wasn’t something to go crazy about.

Look, I know it’s a chain and all but this place is pretty damn awesome. I love the yuzu sorbet, the two(two!!) kinds of pistachio and how can you not love an icecream that gets pressed in to the cone in the shape of a flower?

Awesome gelateria and it comes with great customer service. They served the ice cream on the cone with their signature trademark– a rose shape.

Amorino is a good place for quality gelato. It’s like the Baskin Robbins or Pinkberry of Europe and it always seems to deliver! I had Amorino throughout Europe because it is a chain and the way the workers masterfully shape the gelato into a rose is a talent in itself! Definitley get the Speculoos flavor which is equivalent to cookie butter in the USA… yummm

Disappointing. I was on a «best gelato» quest while in Barcelona and came across this place on Unilocal. We were staying off of La Rambla, so Amorino was right around the corner. Perfect! Except not really… Came by for a late night snack, and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. First off, the layout is a little funny — I am used to perusing the options, trying things out, deciding on how much gelato/ice cream I want(cuz sometimes you want 1 scoop, but then you try something awesome and you get a second scoop of that, etc. etc.). But this place forces you to pay first, without seeing what options there are. Kinda weird, but that’s fine. What really got to me was the awful customer service. It was late night, and my husband and I were literally the only 2 people in the shop, but the worker seemed really impatient as we were deciding on our flavors — annoyed and literally sighing whenever I asked for a sample. Moreover, he was REALLY stingy about the samples — dude, I’ve already paid! I’m going get something! The last straw was that my stracciatella(aka chocolate chip) didn’t have any chocolate chips! Maybe 2… Seriously? Just overall an awful experience. Honestly, if you’re looking for good gelato, make the walk to DelaCrem(for a cute café experience) or just stick to the stands along La Rambla — it’ll be cheaper and a nicer experience cuz those people are actually happy to have your business.

considering this was both my husband + i’s first barcelona gelato experience, this place provides a wonderful welcome to european gelato anyone could ever wish for! agreeing with a previous Unilocal review(Brittany W.‘s), it can get a bit pricey: 5, 50 € for a grande(or ‘large’), but they provide a great number of flavors in that cup/cone for the price you paid. on a warm summer night, this gelato hits the spot! open during ‘typical barcelona hours’(i.e., late night), it’s a perfect dessert option after dinner + for a walk down las ramblas.

I second the statement, it was one of the best gelatos I have had. We were glad we made a trip there, and will definitely be going back; highly recommend it — there are lot of places to get gelato here, but this is the spot not to miss.

No te arrepentirás.

Expensive, but it was The Best Gelato of My Life! June 2010 was when I experienced it and I still think about it… creamy, soft and perfectly crafted in every way possible … sigh, oh how I miss thee. I wasn’t a Unilocaler at the time, hence the late review post, but I feel I need to pay tribute to it. It is seriously the best of the best. Just pay the 6+ euros for it. Highly recommend!

Mascarpone, Mango, Joghurt u.v.a.
