Vue imprenable sur Barcelone. Menu plutôt dispendieux mais la qualité est au rendez-​vous. Service impeccable. Vaut définitivement une visite.

The view from the bar is spectacular. The bar could be considered a little pricey with each drink costing 11 – 12 bucks, but think of it as paying a fee for the experience. The music is great and the bartenders are damn good! They used all fresh fruit ingredients to make our martinis. I would come here every time I’m in Barcelona!

Amazing view in the hotel and was equally matched by the service we had. While we had a tougher time with sevice at the hotel, the host Sergei was on point. Super friendly and took great care of us that we ended up wanting to spend more euros here. Part of his job I know but some times amazing service rises above to make your experience. More so we had a wonderful server named Maria who was extremely friendly and took care of our specific meal needs as we had someone with celiac in the group. Her partner helping us through the night was a gentleman named Andrea who cared for us like he was part of a secret service duty watching over dignitaries. Glasses always full, disappeared to give us privacy and seemed to have popped up when we needed something as if he could read our minds. A most amazing evening out in a good venue but these 3 people blew the roof off of the place. If you visit, I’d recommend asking for these folks.

Very very exclusive and selective club located at the 26^th floor of W hotel. The view on all Barcelona and Mediterranean Sea by night is just breathtaking. We were welcomed by an Apollon, then a goddess put us the «VIP» room bracelet, even the barman is such hot.
Although the VIP lounge is only separated from the rest by a design long bank, making the space to dance not really comfortable. Better stay in the other side or the other room at the opposite, just crossing the corridor.
Dj playlist of that day was ok, but nothing sensational.

At the top of the W hotel in Barcelona the views are unrivalled! The drinks are pricey and staff a bit rude… it does get very very busy though. We were on a hen and we had our own cordoned off area and the champagne and grey goose just kept coming!!! To be honest when you’re with friends celebrating it doesn’t matter where you are. I wouldn’t make a special effort to go again unless it was for the view. I had a great time at the time but it is essentially an expensive bar with a very nice view and some plush seats.

We stopped by for a drink before going to dinner. Great view. Drinks were tasty, but a bit pricey… Worth going up there for the experience.

We stayed at this W so tried the bar and were pretty happy with the drinks and the price. The killer deal is the view from the bar. Simply amazing. Ended up going again.

Rude staff at a 26^th floor with lousy drinks… A disappointing bar which could certainly do better with its venue.

my mother was turned away due to the dress code policy. her walking by shoes were deemed as «flip flops» I never heard anything more ridiculous.

El local es muy bonito, tiene una vistas de barcelona impresionantes.
La musica masomenos, demasiado hiphop, y música americana vieja.
La gente había de todo pero sí todos turistas en su mayoría americanos, además era muy raro porque había gente grande (50 años aprox) y gente de 18. No me gusto el ambiente para nada.
Los tragos son pasados de caros, una cerveza te la cobran 7 euros y una cubata minimo 14 euros, y tampoco que es nada increible.

An OK club with a great view. Music can be really cool or an off, depends on the DJ. A small room to accommodate a large number of drinkers is not what I like to spend my weekend. I don’t drink but I dance, and the music is not all that.

Eclipse. en la cima del Hotel W, concretamente en la planta 26, se ha convertido en un icono de la noche mas «glamurosa» de Barcelona.
Diseñado por la interiorista catalana Isabel López Vilalta, Eclipse cuenta con 2 salas super modernas con 2 ambientes muy similares.
El público es bastante diverso ya que es frecuentado por jóvenes y no tan jóvenes del extranjero de un poder adquisitivo medio alto más tirando para alto diría yo.
Las copas son bastante caras pero Eclipse tiene la fama de crear los cócteles, tal vez, mas buenos de la ciudad.
Todos los Martes hay un evento muy «chic» donde mientras escuchas musica en directo en buena compañia puedes bebes cava, tinto o blanco y comer varias tapas que amablemente te acercan los camareros.
Luego de la «cena» cambia la iluminación y todo se convierte en discoteca con el HipHop y R&B mas nuevo!
La verdad que vale la pena ir!

Definitely not as good as I thought. The drinks are OK but the cocktail menu is only 15 cocktails long, and none of them are really exiting. The 2 drinks I took were good, especially the milano. I think that the decoration is nice on the whole but details, as the white tables or the sofa should be changed — being wear out and not really trendy.
You’ll need to take a reservation if you go there after 11pm.

Private party, $ 500 bottles, great DJ and dancing girls until I packed it in at 5AM and went home. Only to find myself right back here again 2 nights later. Really fun people watching from the right side of the velvet rope :-) 5 star experience.

Les doy una estrella menos debido a un cambio que han hecho recientemente: a los sitios con vistas sólo puedes acceder si pagas una botella (de algo). Elitismo en un sitio así me parece cutre. Pero «money makes the world go round», lamentablemente…

Yes the view is Great. But as a hotel guest I have the same view from my room. So I am here to have a good drink, especially at 14 euros each. Both drinks were weak. All ICE, very little alcohol. There signature drink the Eclipse is made with fresh watermelon. But the Bartender left the seeds in it. Not one or two but 12 seeds. As I drink, seeds are entering my straw and I have to spit then out. Not cool at a night club of this caliber and a pain in the neck. Also the glass was all ICE and More ICE. When the drink arrived I could see the ice forming a mountain like the Materhorn at Disneyland. The Mojito was also all ice and Weak. I left disappointed.
I will complain at the reception desk at checkout to have the drinks comp. This was not a W level experience. Does some other company run the night club?

Trendy club on the top floor of Hotel W, it’s divided in two parts: one with seats and tables, more for people willing to drink and chat, and one with the dancefloor. Music in the tables area is as loud as in the other part though, making it hard to talk with others. Being on the 26^th floor you can imagine that the view on the city is beautiful! Definitely worth even just for it. Drinks are quite expensive, but it’s understandable for a place like this.

The Barcelona branch of the popular London bar, Eclipse is a place to experience at least once. Being on the 26^th floor of the beautiful W Hotel, the view is truly breathtaking. Even the bathrooms offer an amazing view of the port. The cocktails are delicious too– the famous Watermelon Martini, as well as other delicious cocktails such as the Pink Floyd. The bar is trendy and glamorous, something that is rare to find in Barcelona.
However, the place is quite small, and often crowded– it’s quite hard to find an empty table. Half of the bar is usually closed for private parties, and the only part that is open is very small, as well as loud. If you come after 10pm, there is usually a very long line to get in, as well as guest-​lists etc. Personally, I’d recommend coming early, having a drink or two, and then heading downstairs to the W poolside and lobby bar– where the drinks are equally delicious, and the atmosphere is much quieter and more relaxed.

No acostumbro a ir a este tipo de sitios, y después del precio por una bebida en Eclipse, creo que no volveré en una larga temporada.
Está situado en la planta 26 del hotel W, uno de los hoteles más impresionantes de Barcelona, pero, aunque la decoración es minimalista y bajo una luz un tanto difusa, el local parece más pequeño de lo que debe ser.
A 7 euros la copa de vino, decidimos pasarnos a la Coca-​Cola (por aquello que, dispuestos a pagar más de 5 €, como mínimo haya más cantidad de líquido que una simple copa de vino), y nos sentamos, rodeados de extranjeros estirados que te miran y repasan porque sólo lo que lleva una de esas señoras en la cara ya cuesta más que todo lo que tenemos muchos en nuestro armario.
Las vistas y el trato son inmejorables, pero a mi economía no le irá muy bien volver a ir hasta dentro de unos cuantos meses.

Ojo al dato: en la planta 26 del hotel-​vela hay una discoteca que se llama Eclipse. Con ese nombre tan poco original y esa ubicación tan privilegiada, el sitio no podría dejar de ser pijo aunque pusieran por error un disco de Soziedad Alkoholika y se llenara de perroflautas pasando la gorra.
La gente es insufriblemente estirada; el local es pequeño y aburrido; las copas, caras; y encima hay que pegarse una buan pateada para llegar hasta allí (digamos que no soy de los que pillan taxis). ¿Qué tiene de bueno, entonces? Sólo dos cosas: no hay que pagar entrada (bien), y las vistas son espectaculares.

Pongamos que por H o por B decidimos ir al W, en concreto al Bar Eclipse (no es algo que haga habitualmente). Después de los preliminares que supongo sólo pasarán los fines de semana: hombretón que te abre la puerta del taxi en cuanto llegas, cordón rojo para que el personal haga mini-​cola para subir al ascensor y un simpático joven cuya función es subir y bajar con los clientes las 26 plantas y que –espero– no tenga que decir siempre eso de: son 26 segundos, uno por planta. Nosotras en concreto se lo hicimos repetir en varias ocasiones y en ningún momento perdió los estribos.
El Eclipse es un bar tipo lounge más bien pequeño, donde las mesas están demasiado juntas como para marcarse unos bailes a gusto. La música es electrónica (house) de rollo ibicenco. El día que nosotras hicimos acto de presencia allí pillamos a un mulato tocando el timbal subido en la barra y consumimos vino: una copa son 7 euros.
Camareros guapos y, como es de esperar, bastantes turistas y alguna que otra despedida de soltera. Lo mejor (o lo único bueno, según se mire): las vistas.

Este es un bar que merece la pens visitar por sus impresionantes vistas. Por poco más que eso.
Está ubicado en el piso 26 del hotel W de Barcelona. Es un edificio con aspecto de vela de barco. No es necesario estar hospedado para tener acceso al mismo.
El bar está rodeado de cristales y eso hace que las vistas sean incomparables. Ver anochecer desde allí es algo precioso. Hay una especie de bancos tapizados pegados a las cristaleras lo que hace que puedas tomar tu copa mirando al infinito. Además de eso hay varios sofás repartidos por el centro del local y pufs que pueden moverse para crear grupitos de gente. Por lo que dijeron los chicos los baños de caballeros son muy originales porque los migitorios también están pegados a la cristalera.
El ambiente es ocuro, glamuroso, chic y muy moderno. Los camareos están en esa misma línea. Por cierto, llegamos a contar 10 camareros para un máximo de 20 peronas que estuvimos en el momento más populoso de la hora que pasamos allí.
La carta de cóteles es extensa, también la de wiskies, escasa la de cervezas. Los precios bastante caros.
Hay un DJ continuamente poniendo música estilo chill out aunque para nuestro gusto demasiado alta, algo inapropiado para ese estilo de música. Nosotros fuimos a las 9 de la noche. La clientela a esa hora era más bien esacasa. Nosotros éramos 11 personas y la música nos impedía poder oírnos a todos. Cuando nos quedamos prácticamente solos en el local (a excepción de una parejita) pedimos si podían bajar el volumen un poco y la seca respuesta fue ‘que es el volumen acorde a esa hora’ (!), repito que eran las 9 de la noche, hora de tomar un aperitivo antes de cenar acompañado de una buena charla. No pudo ser.
Otra cosa que nos dejó atónitos fue que, tras pedir una cerveza por la que nos cobraron 5 euros (nada especial por cierto) pedimos un vaso porque nos la sacaron directamente en la botella. La camarera nos dijo que ‘estaba de moda beberla de la botella’. Cuando le dijimos que pese a eso queríamos un vaso nos lo trajo. Está claro que somos más antiguos que el hilo negro.
Yo pedí un Martini Rojo. 6,50 euros. Pero me lo imaginé en la típica copa de triángulo, quizás con una guinda dentro. Nada más lejos de la realidad. La cantidad era mínima, un hielo y un vaso mono. En 3 tragos ya solo quedaba el aguachirri de los hielos.
Resumiendo: las vistas hacen que merezca la pena la visita, pero preparad la cartera y las ganas de aguantar la cara de poker de algunos camareros.

Allein der tolle Blick auf die City, den Hafen und den Strand lohnt einen Besuch des Eclipse.
Die Musik war bei unserem Besuch nicht zu aufdringlich. Man konnte sich noch gut unterhalten.
Die Auswahl an Cocktails ist groß und sie schmecken hervorragend.
Auch hier paßt der Service zum Niveau und Anspruch der Bar.
