The bocadillos there are really fantastic — I ate ham and cheese. As every bun is heated up, the cheese melted. The breakfast was a really delicious start of the day. When you get into the café, the smell of freshly toasted bocadillo already gets into your nose and you can actually see the cook at the stove. Well, I can’t judge upon the coffee as the machine didn’t work and they could only serve Nescafé — or there was another reason for the Nescafé, but I didn’t understand it as the waiter said it in Spanish. Nonetheless, half of the menu is in English and to order a bocadillo and a coffee, you don’t need much Spanish. I stayed in a hotel nearby and when searching for«El Roble», I walked around to look for alternatives. Finally, that café is one of the few that actually offers seats outside that are in the sun. Inside, it’s also quite spacious. All in all, the café is a really typcial Spanish café where locals go to to read their newspapers and have a coffee before going to work, down-to-earth people and simple, but well tasting breakfast.

Simple Spanish breakfast with Spanish omelette with potatoes and onions. Tasty and comforting. Tuna baguette was decent. Food is ok with a lot of locals patronizing. Convenient location next to L7 and bus stop.
