El Salón

I was here a year ago, and had to come back this time, and I was not disappointed! In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in Barcelona.
It’s a small, cosy restaurant, with a warm atmosphere and good service. The food is delicious, no matter if you chose meat or fish, it’s marvellous. Take a look at the photos and you will see what I mean.
I will also recommend to make a reservation, it’s often difficult to get a table if you don’t… I will definately come back before I leave Barcelona for now, and the reservation is already made :-)

Four tables in a small square. (Another small bar has 8 or 9 tables in the same area.) in the shade of some low trees so should be well shades in the heat of the day.
Looks like it is run by just 2 blokes. Very nice menu with over half a dozen items on each of the Starters, Salad or Main sections. Likewise, a varied wine list.
Risotto was excellent and obviously cooked to order. Strawberry and spinach salad was delicious and the deserts were excellent — so good Jorge tried to mop his plate with the tablecloth.
The local tapas is very good but it was nice to have a menu that was a little different and containing specials based on local available produce.
Service was of the highest standard and the wine was well priced. The waiter even labelled the table for us. When I asked for a wine recommendation I was offered the cheapest on the list.
Jorge (ages nearly 9) says: «I would give it five and a half stars »

A great place for a nice dinner. The food was wonderful. The small outdoor seating area seemed like a meeting place for the neighbours, and that made the atmosphere lively and fun.

Everything about this place was great. The food, the cozy décor, the service.
The restaurant was almost empty when we came in on a Wednesday evening, but it made no difference. The service was friendly and the restaurant was welcoming.
The food was also well prepared. I started with the pumpkin soup while colleagues tried the zucchini carpaccio. Both were delicious. I tried the cod for my main dish (which had the most delicious tomato relish I’ve ever had), but the steak and lamb dishes were very tasty as well. Dessert was something that resembled crème brûlée and it was amazing. Overall, the food was well executed, with great flavors and it was all perfectly cooked. It was nice to get away from traditional tapas for a change.
Great inexpensive wine selection, and Norah Jones playing in the background. Felt like the perfect atmosphere for a date, or in my case, a date with co-​workers. Would definitely come back!

My wife and I spent our last evening in Barcelona here, and it was a wonderful end to a week in Barcelona. I’d highly recommend it to anyone in Barcelona.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the ambiance was great.
The food was very good — creative (not traditional Catalonian), fresh, and very tasty. The cheesecake was one of the best I’ve ever had. The meal overall was probably the best we had in Barcelona.

We stumbled across this gem while out walking in the El Gothic neighborhood. It turned out to be only a block from our apartment and we were so glad we took a chance on it after reading the menu! The food was really delicious and exactly the type of preparation and flavors that we love! The service was super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. Overall, one of the best meals we ate in Barcelona — highly encourage you to visit this restaurant!

Llegué a este restaurante una de estas noches en que sales con tu pareja y buscas algo diferente e intimo.
Creo que nos llamó la atención su terracita iluminada con velas, justo en una placita tranquila y un poco escondida al lado de la muralla de la ciudad, detrás de Correos. Como no había lugar fuera, nos dirigimos al restaurante, para ver si había una mesa libre en su interior.
Que agradable sorpresa. Un sitio pequeño, intimo, con un toque boheme. Un antiguo sofá a la entrada y pequeñas mesas todas diferentes en un ambiente tranquilo y con iluminación difusa.
Justo el lugar original y romántico que buscábamos para nuestra cena.
No pedimos mucho, porque es un poco caro, pero lo que pedimos fue muy bueno. A mí me encantó la parte de los dulces: me comí una crêpe de fresas con mascarpone increíble. Y los vinos también muy buenos.

Delicioso y mono y entrañable. Me encanta la mesita en primera línea de pasillo con sus sofás así como palaciegos para tomarse un buen vino con el Foie. Realmente, parecería que fuese entrar algún mayordomo a cambiar «los candelabros» de lugar si no tuviera, además, ese punto medio callejeril-​bohemio de todo bistrot.
Es muy acogedor pero, como ocurre muchas veces, es tan pequeño y mono, que en cuanto se llena, se llena mucho y deja de ser íntimo y pasa a ser demasiado múltiple.

Un restaurante muy recomendable por la calidad exquisita de los platos y por la ubicación privilegiada de una terraza en lo que para mi es el rincón más bonito de la ciudad; la Plaça dels Traginers. El ambiente de noche tiene un aire que recuerda mucho al Trastevere, y comer al lado de las murallas, con la luz de las velas, tiene un punto romántico que se agradece mucho, sobre todo en esta ciudad tan poco dada a lo suave, a lo envolvente y a lo sentimental. Vale la pena olvidarse del factor económico, en la medida de lo posible, y dejarse llevar por las apetencias. Es posible que la cuenta ascienda a cantidades un poco superiores a lo normal, pero este es un lugar verdaderamente especial, que merece un poco de manga ancha, y espacio para el disfrute, que nunca es el mismo si vamos con el freno de mano puesto.

Une cuisine simple
C’est plus un bistrot qu’un restaurant, on y sert des gnocchi, du poulet, du porc et du poisson avec un menu à 10 euros. C’est ouvert du lundi au samedi de 14h à 23h. La décoration est simple.
