I had really looked forward to try Federal’s Eggs Florentine, after drooling to all the pictures here on Unilocal,so I got extremely disappointed when I found out they didn’t have in on the lunch menu. Maybe they only serves it in the weekend, but I was either going to try that or the avocado course, but none of them were available.
Even so, there were a lot of good alternatives on the menu, and I went for Reuben, a sandwich with ham, emmentaler, fermented red cabbage, with potato chips on the side. The dish was really good, especially the emmentaler cheese was just perfect. I just wished it was a little more food on the plate, for 9 euros, I think to slices of bread and 4 potato chips is quite little food.
For me, Federal would probably be a food place for some breakfast, their breakfast menu looks really good, but for lunch, the portions aren’t big enough to cover for their prices, in my opinion. Then again, if the Egg Florentine had been on the menu, maybe my review would be different.

Really nice atmosphere (brick walls, open bar, nice music, open space for working, free wifi), healthy food and drinks esp. for breakfast (coconut quinoa with dates and scrambled eggs with tomato salsa), for a very adequate price! Nice service!
My fav place up to now in Barcelona! :)

Great spot for good value cappuccino and locale. Just off La Rambas. Young UNis seem to study here. Cheaper than Starbies.

Excellent place to rest from the Barcelona heat, to have a great breakfast and connect.

Cool atmosphere and surprisingly cheap for such good food /​drink. I came here every morning. The veggie burger was great. So was the avocado toast. So was the mushrooms on toast. All drinks from the smoothies to the blood Mary. Really really good.

Una amiga me descubrió esta cafetería restaurante en mi última visita a Barcelona.
Pasamos la mañana trabajando en este espacio decorado con un toque industrial y de diseño. El ambiente es tranquilo y muy agradable, perfecto para una sesión de trabajo en equipo o en solitario.
El café está rico, la comida es sabrosa y generosa y los precios muy razonables.

Perfect location, great food, several vegetarian options, friendly staff, modern pleasant interiors, WiFi, reasonable prices, eco/​organic approach, napkins from recycled paper.
