Avoid! Overpriced gross food, no prices, unfriendly staff. «Tapas» are mostly fried items, microwaved when you choose them, subsequently soggy and inedible. Drank our wine, picked at the food and left, out of € 30 (2 wines and 3 tapas). We have had amazing tapas here, luckily this was just an unlucky choice.

Tourist trap. The food is not bad but not worth it for the price. Bacalao was 14 euro, but I only found out after the fact. Avoid.

Entré par hasard dans ce restaurant à tapas, choix correct, produits frais. Ambiance un peu spéciale avec une serveuse qui s’y retrouve malgré tout, seul bémol pas de prix affiché. On s’est régalé avec les couteaux et le chorizo. Allez y c’est typique et bon.

Very small place with lots of history the family that runs the place is great very warm people and if you come more than once they start treating you like their family the food is very good there is not a real menu pretty much what you see is what you get and if you want anything special just ask for it and then we’ll make it happen highly recommended place in Barcelona I will definitely go back again

The lady behind the bar was coughing on the food and shouting on the phone. € 2.5 for a small bottle of beer and € 4.5 for a portion of omelette. A total rip-​off.

Ducked in here to warm up and get out of the rain. Coffee latte with cacao was delicious! I will be stopping here again before the end of our trip. Met 2 of the 3 generations of owners, super nice, inviting and friendly. Thank you for making our first stop in Barcelona an unforgettable one!

To be honest, these people were rude and their coffee didn’t make up for it. Take your business across the street to Pastelería Santa Clara.

Quaint décor and friendly staff make this an excellent spot for some caffeinated refreshment. This café was essentially across the street from our hotel so we were here quite a few times in the AM. Coffee was very solid, and the pastries were good to boot. Pretty inexpensive as well.

This is one of my favorite cafes in Barcelona! This is supposed to be one of the oldest cafes in Barri Gotic and you can feel the history the moment you step in. You feel like you were transported back in time! The décor is the most charming part of this place. I usually come here for my café con leche and xocolata amb xurros (2.90 euros), they are made just the way I like!!! Rico rico!!! Check it out when you are in Barcelona!
p. s. — they are closed on Sundays. The place is tiny so not recommended for a big group.

Aquí tienen uno de los mejores cafes de Barcelona. El lugar es bastante pintoresco. No hay que hacer caso de lo antipático que es el camarero, hay que ir directo al producto.
Yo, tanto si me encuentro de compras como si simplemente me caigo de sueño y me acuerdo del café, voy allí fijo.
La decoración a lo tirolés, llama la atención, pero al rato se pasa.

Entre blackberry’s, Iphone & what’s up encontrar un lugar que te transporte a principios de siglo por un ratito, vale la pena, no? Además si te sirven un buen cafelito y oyes a los veteranos del lugar comentar la jugada del partidazo del Barça o su pronóstico al nuevo candidato al PSOE pues le pone su guinda al lugar.
Así es el Mesón del Café un rinconcito en el gótico que no sólo te transportará a otra época sino que te acogerá para que te sientas como en casa, disfrutando de un cafelito o de lo que quieras. Por ejemplo, de un picardía, especialidad de la casa que lleva café, leche condensada y whisky. Yo por la salud de mi hígado lo dejare para otro momento! ;)

Pequeño, emblemático, con carisma… En definitiva… ¡Un clásico! Decorado a modo de los cafés de principios del siglo XX, cuando fue fundado, es de estos lugares que hay que visitar sí o sí. No sólo para tomarse un buen café, que también, porque lo hacen muy pero que muy bien, sino para tomárselo en un sitio que te permite sentir el latido de la ciudad. Y es que está abierto a la calle Llibreteria, entre la Plaça Sant Jaime y la Plaça de Jaume I, una zona muy concurrida y, por lo tanto, la distracción está más que garantizada para los que son tan observadores como yo.
¿Todavía no has ido al Mesón? ¡No tienes perdón! ¡Corre!
