Such a great experience! We were there with small kids and I have nothing but good things to say. Food was excellent, service was really friendly(even to the point that we were told that we were ordering too much tapas), mojitos and the recommended Rioja were great. Best tapas I’ve had thus far. Easily. The provoloni was to die for.

This tapas bar is in any case worth a visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful in explaining some dishes on the menu and they have an English menu. No matter if you sit inside or outside you feel like it’s a nice place to have your dinner or lunch. Also I think it’s a very good value for money, what you get here. The taste of the dips with the tiny bread to it was very delicious. Additionally I had«Tosta de Berenjena, sanfaina, queso de cabra, tomates secos y miel» which was very yummy and made me full in a good way. I would visit Jonny Aldana again anytime! –The food(65%) taste *****(5) look *****(5) ripeness *****(5) price *****(5) –The location(20%) cleanness *****(5) ambiance *****(5) atmosphere *****(5) –The service(15%) friendliness *****(5) flexibility ****(4) attention *****(5) total: *****(5)

Muy buen bar de tapas en Sant Antoni. Pequeñito pero te atienden muy bien y hacen tapas creativas. Pide el hummus.

I have been a frequent customer of Bar Olimpia, right next door, and had always peeked over to see all the cool hip young kids in BCN hanging out at Jonny Aldana. Indeed, until I stopped a few days ago, I was under the impression that these two businesses were related! It turns out that Jonny Aldana stands on its own as a sweet spot for food and drink in hip Sant Antoni. I went on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The place was quiet, the décor incredibly cool, and the music even better. Awesome! The bar/café has a relatively extensive menu of sandwiches, tostas, tapas, and other light Mediterranean dishes, many of which looked absolutely fabulous! I enjoyed a beer and a most wonderful tosta with eggplant samfaina, goat cheese, honey, sesame seeds, and balsamic reduction. WOW! I could eat 10,000 of those and still want more! Service was quite friendly and the restaurant/bar/café also boasts a window-bar and a lovely set of tables on the street for al fresco drinking and dining. Really, I can find absolutely zero reasons not to give this place five stars… I can’t wait to go back to try another fabulous dish and even some of their cocktails! If you’re looking for yet another sweet spot in Sant Antoni, Jonny Aldana is *definitely* a good pick. See you there :)
