La Taberna Gallega

Todo muy bueno y rapidos a la hora de servir. La paella mixta muy buena y al punto. Os lo recomiendo.

Fuimos por recomendación y porque andabamos buscando un restaurante para una celebración con la familia. Fuimos para verlo y hablar con el encargado, ya que en al web habiamos visto que tenian menús estandar pero queriamos saber si podiamos hacer uno más a nuestro gusto. Y no nos defraudaron. El encargado majisimo y a nuestra predisposición para todo.
Llegamos a un acuerdo que satisfacia nuestros gustos y se ajustaba a nuestro presupuesto. Además de un relación calidad precio de los productos buenisma.
Fuimos en una epoca que no era temporada alta asi que tuvimos un salón para nosotros solos. (lo pedimos y nos digeron que harian lo posible pero que no nos lo podian asegurar, y al final tuvimos suerte).
El menu fue:
— Entrantes a compartir: pimientos del padrón, mejillones a la marinera, ensaladas completas, chistorra, pulpo a la gallega, croquetas y un pan de cristal con tomate (que rico estaba!!)
— A elegir: dorada al horno, entrecot a la parrilla o fideua.
— Postre: tarta de chocolate y a parte nos trajeron tarta de santiago (cortesia de la casa)
— Café y chupito
— Cava
Todo esto por 27 € /​comensal.
Sin duda si tenemos otra celebración los elegiremos porque nos hicieron sentir como en casa, con un trato excelcente, comida de calidad y un precio más que asequible.

This is a good place if you find you need to have a meal on the pier. The fresh fish is great when paired with a fruity white wine and the view. As others have posted, just getting to the entrance is a challenge as the hawkers and pressure from the other restaurants can be annoying. Once there, settle in and enjoy the view and Catalan hospitality.

Best paella I have ever had in my life and a pitcher of sangria to go with it to be enjoyed by the marina. Das is supa geil!
Loved the meal here and the staff was really cool too. In the marina you will have many options but the Dude of Food recommends going here.

Un raté de métro (okay, okay, une erreur de navigation de ma part) nous a conduit, après une bonne heure de marche, sous un soleil de plomb, affamés, dans les environs de la Vila Olímpica. La faim a pris le dessus et nous avons cédé aux avances pressantes d’un hôte un poil francophone.
Personnellement, quand les restaurants ont besoin d’alpaguer les clients dans la rue, je né prends jamais ça comme un signe de qualité… M’enfin bon…
Nous selectionons un menu à 27 € avec une version dégustation pour les entrées (yay, la salade de poulpe — jamais cru que j’allais aimer) et une paella dont nous n’avons pas laissé un grain de riz. Côté dessert, il a fallu se battre avec le serveur pour qu’il né nous refourgue pas celui du menu à 18 €, et nous n’avons jamais vu la couleur de l’amuse-bouche promis en début de repas.
Au final, un repas satisfaisant en termes de qualité mais qui né m’enlève pas le goût amer d’être tombés dans un pièges à touristes de la bouche.
En point très positif coté service: la paire de lunettes de soleil oubliée sur la table en partant était toujours au restaurant et nous attendait le lendemain. Plutôt cool.

Tried 3 restaurants here on the pier during our trip and this was the best of the three but not an outstanding place. The steaks were good, the octopus was clearly the favorite of the night and highly recommended. The sangria was also amazing with a crisp clear snap at the end. This is a solid place with good waitstaff. Overpriced like everything else on the pier… It’s good solid seafood and local dishes in a nice atmosphere.

We chose to eat at La Taberna Gallega more or less because the man approaching passersby seemed a bit nicer (dare I say, sincere? Not the right word, but just less annoying than the rest.) in his pitch of the place. Walking down this gangway can be pretty irritating, as all the owners and waitstaff try to lure you to their restaurant. They seated us on the gangway — don’t make this mistake. The rose-​sellers and the crappy-​souvenier-​sellers won’t give you a moment of peace. At least sit in the second row of tables, if not inside.
We had Galicien grilled scallops and Galicien grilled octopus. Both were decent, though the scallops were dripping with butter and oil. Tomato bread seemed to come with the meal, as we didn’t order it but they brought a plate. When the bill came, though, we were charged for it. Maybe this is customary — it didn’t bother us, as it was good and goes so well with the meal. But heads up to those who don’t like such things in service. Overall cost was high. The quality of the fish was good; the preparation, unexciting.
Not totally disappointing, per se, but we wouldn’t go again. And if we do — lesson learned… no sitting on the public walkway!

Cuando hay visitas turísticas en casa, lo lógico es hacer cosas de turistas. Madrugar para ir a la playa, dejarse tostar al sol, beber más de la cuenta… O ir a cenar al Port Olímpic. Una vez introducidos en el paseo lleno de restaurantes, te vendrá un agobio enorme causado por los camareros que a un lado y a otro del pasillo intentan liarte para que ocupes una de sus mesas. «¡Chipirones, señora, chipirones!», «¡Menú por 20 euros, siéntese, guapa!», «¡Auténtica pasta italiana, pase!». Les aseguro que si se han pasado todo el día en la playa, terminarán mareándose entre tantas voces persuasivas.
Nosotros decidimos quedarnos en La Taberna Gallega. Quizá porque el staff ni siquiera insistió para que entrásemos. Simpatía no-​cansina del camarero que nos enseñó la carta antes de tomar asiento. Tienen una carpa llena (literal) de acomodos, además de restaurante en el interior. No sé el número de comensales en total que esa noche se daban cita allí, pero decenas y decenas, se lo aseguro. De hecho el número de camareros podía haber llenado alguno de los restaurantes colindantes. Olivas para hacer tiempo antes de que lleguen las tapas (se agradece el detalle). El pulpo a la gallega estaba buenísimo (no es fácil que pase en un restaurante, ya lo sabrán ustedes). El solomillo de ternera también, pero no se pudo terminar. Nos invitaron a los chupitos pero yo, y ya siento reconocerlo, hice el ridículo y no pude tomarme el licor de hierbas entero, a pesar de ese eterno consejo de mi madre que siempre acompaña a esta bebida: «Hija, tómalo que es muy digestivo».
Entre un plato y otro y siempre que le venía de paso, el camarero que nos atendía nos soltaba algún chiste o nos preguntaba si todo iba correcto. Buen trato y buen ambiente en el equipo, aún teniendo que aguantar grupos de veraneantes coloraos’ de vino tinto declarando su amor a Spain a voces.
