This place is gorgeous, fun, and offers myriad choices. We had some delicious sushi, bravas, and beers. The ambiance is definitely special; all of the vendors and waitstaff are incredibly warm and friendly. It was great seeing families, young people on dates, and tourists all mixing in the same space.

This is a catch all tapas market. The food was delicious, it could be a bit pricey though. Various food vendors in the market-all very friendly. And you can see them making your food. So I had a turkey Cesar salad and some filled octopus on crusted bread and a sangria. The sangria is of note because it’s of course hecho a mano. He tailored it to my taste– I told him it was too sweet so he put more wine in it. It was a pretty epic sangria. I really enjoyed the culinary experience. They supposedly have music on Thursday. However, the people seem to be confused about the day. So verify that before you hinge your plans on going. Even still, you’ll love the food.

Theft warning. A bag was stolen from us here as my family was sitting alone at one of the tables. The only person near the bag was a busboy who later made up a bizarre story about seeing a thief. A food stand chef came over and apologized to us and told us that this place has a huge problem of bags getting stolen. The market’s manager took all our information but never followed up with us. The manager never responded to multiple emails and calls. Our conclusion is that the manager and the busboys are operating a theft ring here. Beware. Hold your bags tightly and don’t let go if you enter this market.

This place was GREAT when it first opened. I mean fantastic. It was always packed with locals and the food was amazing. I took some visitors there last week and was shocked to find the place virtually empty(I’ve NEVER seen it even half empty) and 1⁄3 of the stations just gone. The worst, however, was that not only had the prices risen, but the food quality had been substantially lowered(7 Euros for 4 pieces of dried out sushi roll!!). I mean it was garbage. We chatted with the bartender and found out it had recently been sold and the service«revised» so that portions were smaller and choices were fewer. WTF? People loved this place before, it was fun and lively and the food was great. Now, the patatas bravas that used to be amazing I swear were fried frozen potato wedges that were mushy and tasteless. I did have a couple of decent salads but everything else was either not available(no more Thai food, no oyster bar, no mini burgers) or totally unappetizing. I took my friends there to impress them and unfortunately will not be returning — ever.

We arrived at a weird hour, apparently – around 7:30 – and found the place suspiciously deserted, almost left right then to find a busier spot just to make sure the food turnaround would be adequate. Decided to risk it anyway and BOY! were we glad. Catalan style food court had great selection of tapas from different kiosk-style restaurants with comfortable seating in the middle of the room. Excellent quality food, quick preparation, very affordable, maximum options. And … by the time we left around 9:00pm, the place was packed – local crowd just getting their second wind. Highly recommended.

A great place to sample a huge variety of cuisines that you can find in Barcelona. And what’s better, it’s a food court where you can buy beer affordably, though it’s all the same type of plain draft beer. But it goes great with pimientos padron, which almost all the stalls sell. They are deep fried without coating and salted, they are the edamame of Spain. My only complaint is that if you’re not careful, you can easily spend 20 euros for 2 people here even if all the individual items are quite affordable. Try the huevos estrelladas near the ‘3 o clock’ side of the food court. So good!

I lived in Barcelona for a year and this place was my go to from time to time. Although they don’t serve my favorite Catalan dish(Paella) they have other tasty dishes that you can choose from. Its a cool, pretty spacious market with many options! The atmosphere is very nice as well.

I stumbled upon this when I was(once again) completely lost. It’s a very large space subdivided into smaller food carts-type things. I went over to the fried egg station to get one with mushroom and jamon and was just in heaven. I also enjoyed my sangria, which they mixed up right in front of me.

This is like the fanciest food court ever. A very cool space filled with all types of fooderies and bars specializing in everything from sushi to paella to sandwiches to egg dishes to booze. I accompanied a friend while she got some eggs with ham and mushrooms over fried potatoes that she was mad for. Still full from my snacking at the Mercat de la Boqueria, I settled for a delicious but extremely expensive sangria. Looked like there might be a couple of vegan options in the way of tapas(like padron peppers), possibly some veggie paella, or gazpacho. Be sure to wind your way through all the options before you decide! And totally mix and match from the different stands!

After spending four consecutive summers in Barcelona, I was bummed to find this place during the last week of my fourth summer… but better late than never. What I love about this place is you can choose what you want to eat and how much you want to spend. It’s like a food flea-market, if you will, and the quality is outstanding! Many stands of various Catalan cuisines(Italian & Sushi as well). You go around the marketplace, select and pay for each dish separately, and then go to a table with your friends and dine; or you make new friends who may be other patrons sitting next to you. Even the wine has its own stand, and this of course means it is sold at market price(not restaurant menu price). I absolutely love this place. Did not find one tourist! Oops, I hope I haven’t let the cat out of the bag…
