Santa Piadina

Santa Piadina! Local bastante pequeño, y en el que última menté ya no puedes comer dentro y sólo tienes la opción de comprar para llevar y comértelas en la plaza. La verdad… Todas están buenas a pesar de que las últimas 2 veces que he ido, les ha faltado algún ingrediente (no sé si es casualidad ó si, se les ha agotado). Lo mejor de todo es que son bastante económicas, y para esos días en que andas corto de pasta te salvan la vida. Os recomiendo La Santa Genoveva, está buenísima!

Regentada por gente joven, esta piadinería (vamos con el palabro) no es nada del otro mundo. Está bien situada, pero a menudo faltan ingredientes básicos como la cebolla, el pollo o el jamón, así que no sabes qué c*** ponerle. Tampoco son demasiado generosos en según qué ingredientes. Nunca jamás tienen hielo, y los vasos son de plástico. Ale, ahí queda dicho.
Realmente, siempre vuelvo, pero escribo desde el rencor de la última vez.

Very lucky to have walked by this place!

I have tried some other piadina places in Barcelona, and this one is so far the best one! They have whatever ingredient you might think of, and everything is really good, and fresh. One of the best things about this place is that they have got piadinas made of whole wheat flour and spelt! They don´t have a lot of space inside, but this is probably for the best — you can take your piadina with you and have it while enjoying the views on St. Pere´s church and the square around it.

I was happy with the ‘piadina’ I ordered from this fast food place (which I think was a second location as it was located at Carrer de l’Allada-Vermell 19), which cost about 5 euro and was similar to a doner kebab but distinct. They have a variety of combinations to satisfy many different palates, and in the center of Barcelona it isn’t easy to find a cheap bite to eat. The man behind the counter who was making the food & working the register was very friendly.

Castellano: Nunca he tenido una piadina, así que no tengo nada que compararlo, pero lo que tenía en este lugar fue absolutamente deliciosa! Era un pan plano como las tortitas que utilizan para durum. Elegí el sabor del tomate /​orégano. Dobladas por la mitad y llena de diferentes ingredientes. El que yo elegí tenía york jamón, salchichas, patatas maceradas, queso ahumado, cebollas caramelizadas y salsa de champiñones. No era un mal precio tampoco. No hay nada en la carta fue de 7 euros. Tienen piadinas dulces, salados, y veganos. Así que tienen algo para todos! Me gustó mucho, voy a volver por más!
English: I have never tried piadinas before, so I don’t have anything to compare it to. But what I had tonight was absolutely delicious! It was a flatbread similar to tortillas, except different flavors. I chose the tomato and oregano. It was folded in half and filled with different ingredients. Mine was filled with ham, sausage, macerated potatoes, smoked cheese, caramelized onions and mushroom sauce. And the price isn’t bad either! The most expensive thing on the menu is about 7euros, but for the most part it ranges from 4 – 5 euros per piadina. They have sweet, savory and vegan piadinas, so something for everyone! I’ll definitely be back for more!

It’s been a year since the last review, so perhaps things have changed for the better. I ordered an empanada (speck, scarmorza, champignon) and the Sta Fabiola (mozzarella, berenjena, calabacin, tomate gratinada al pan, champignons and cebolla caramelizada. Shove that into your translator program!
Their menu features classic, vegetarian and vegan, and house piadina selections. I found my piadina stuffed with delicious vegetarian ingredients. I had my choice of 5 breads, so I chose tomato and oregano. The empanada wasn’t a packed as I would have liked, but the dough was excellent. There were also piadina «chips» on the smaller high tables.
Overall, I enjoyed this pleasant surprise and consider another successful lost field trip in Barcelona.

La piadinas nos gustan. La masa es deliciosa y la de Nutella está de muerte… Pero ya van saliendo «piadinerías» como setas en esta ciudad. Ésta en concreto no es ni mucho menos para organizar una fiesta. Las piadinas son caras (a razón de 5 € cada una) y no hay generosidad ninguna en los ingredientes. La que tomé yo de jamón york con rúcula, tomate y queso tenía UNA loncha de jamón, UNA de queso y dos testimoniales a modo de tomate y rúcula. Una racanería que la verdad, no hace falta.
El lugar se llena de todo el turisteo que pasea por el Born y que quiere calmar el hambre de algún modo. Supongo que por eso el local tiene Wi-​Fi gratis y un muro lleno de notas de contacto en mil idiomas.
No creo que me vean más por ahí… a mí eso de contar los ingredientes me da mucha rabia. ¡¡¡ÑAAAA!!!
