Great tapas place. They have pre set options but they won’t let you substitute even though the item I wanted to sub was the same price… but even getting about the same number of items separate it came out to be about the same. So don’t always go for the pre set items. Our order: Potatoes — great flavor and they have a spicy sauce on top which I loved Mussels — fresh flavor and the cream sauce is delicious. If you order the tomato bread save the sauce to dip the bread in it Tomato bread– I could have done without but I loved dipping it in the mussels cream sauce Croquettes — they have diff stuffing daily. But if you like the sound of the stuffing definitely get this. The bread crumb crisp finish is delicious Veggie nachos(they also have meat version. It’s ground beef and we don’t eat that) — nachos were good veggie but not great. Wish they added some actual veggies or even pico. It was just guac, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños Overall great tapas place but wouldn’t have been my first choice

Very friendly staff and the tapas is very good, try the lamb skewer! If you not feel like tapas try the hamburger, fresh made and awesome!

Loved this place. After an amazing day of wandering, stumbled upon Stoke and got the 4 Tapas deal with some sangria and had a great night. Awesome vibe. Chill atmosphere. The prawns were delicious.

Our waitress was very good and the food was delicious! Mussels had a creamy sauce and with the bread — my salad was crisp and full of variety. Amazing! Definitely coming back!

Ok. Food is great and atmosphere is awesome. Service is friendly BUTSOSLOW. two of three things I ordered weren’t available and was told after everyone got their food. My 3 stars are for service but I would give 5 for food and ambience.

A OK tapas bar. I ordered garlic prawns for 11 € and it was not worth it. There are plenty of places much better than this one. It doesn’t feel very domestic/catalan. The Service was very nice and the staff was very helpful.

Good low-key place for tapas. No frills, credit card payment, and fast service. I tried the large sangria glass, and it was huge, and very tasty. Gambas with garlic and guacmole was good too.

Great people behind the bar. Go see Omar and choose from a list of good beers. It’s off the beaten path, but that means less annoying touristas!

Trendy, inexpensive and chill! Everything you’d want in a bar :) My friends and I rested here after a long day of wandering and site-seeing. It’s two stories: the tables upstairs are more quiet and private, and the area also has a cute balcony(not to sit on, but just a cute viewing point). My two friends and I split a pitcher of the Sangria which was fizzy! It was the best sangria I’ve had and was so fresh. The bartender(and possibly manager/owner) Wendy, is super nice and accommodating! She was so cool and very helpful. She speaks English, French and Spanish! We needed help getting directions to the airport the next day and she provided us with some transportation options. It was a great place to relax a bit before our next plans

The best daytime tapas in the Gothic this week. Potato bravos with spicy sauce, garbanzo beans with Catalan sausage, scampi with rosemary, tomato bread. The wines were delightful, robust and everything on budget. Flat screen tv, cozy décor and colorful English waitperson. Finally we found our spot! Definitely a go to asap.

This was a very nice bar with a good selection of beer/cider(for Spain) and had a unique menu. We had lamb skewers and potato wedges with delicious sauce. The atmosphere was very nice, just a couple blocks from Las Rambas. I would recommend strongly!

Well priced beer, and tapas to order if you want to add a snack. I came here in the afternoon and it was a nice place to take a break, with some good music. I passed by in the night and noticed it was considerably busy and it looked like a popular spot. Service was welcoming, and they have free wifi. Bathroom B+

This trendy, inexpensive bar has funky music, plenty of comfortable seating, and a welcoming vibe. They offer tapas and entrees for cheap prices, and we found pitchers of good sangria that served four people, for less than 12 euros. The upstairs lounge area was great for a group of us, with tables centered around benches and pillows. There’s also a bar area downstairs, if you’re just stopping in for a cheap, quick drink. The staff was extremely friendly, and we never felt rushed to leave. The atmosphere is definitely multi-cultural, with both staff and visitors speaking multiple languages in the same room.

Stoke Bar is an expat bar located in the heart of the Barrí Gotic, close to Las Ramblas and Plaça Jaume in Barcelona. It was formely owned by a well known travel company in Barcelona — ”Stoke Travel’. Whilst being an expat bar, this bar still gets many locals and generally has a really good atmosphere. Having lived in Barcelona for the past 6 months, I come to Stoke every once in a while and the owners there are always happy to see their regulars and treat you more like a friend than a customer. This is a really great bar for meeting new people from all over the world and I’ve spent many a night here chatting to people. Food is really good here and reasonably priced. I recommend the nachos! If you’re after authentic Spanish food then this isn’t the place to come, although they do have local things such as pan amb tomate(tomato bread) and some other tapas. As an average a caña(what us Brits would call a half pint) are about € 2.20 and a pinta(pint) is about € 4⁄5 which is normal for bars in the centre of Barcelona. Overall, a bar that everyone should come to, particularly expats studying or living here if they want some good company and a reminder of home!
