Music is a decent volume, lots of 80s metal tonight. Aaaand if it’s not loud enough for you, headphones above every seat that are very loud. An excellent concept. Lots of fun drunks singing along occasionally. Oh, the music is by request, so does change a lot. All in fun.

Not sure how I checked into this place or when which leads me to believe it was Friday night when I was having a great time with my wife. I’m sure this place was good because I don’t recall it being bad. Sorry Unilocalers if I’m not any help here.

gute Rockmusik, Kopfhörer über der Bar. Auf einen Besuch kann man mal reinschnuppern.

The place gets a medium rating because of the crowd, just nothing special, and Barcelona has much beter to offer. I liked the headphone concept to REALLY hear the heavy metal and hard rock the DJ plays. As for the shots and cocktails, just ok. Sometimes I find the mixing of various liquors ends up being simply a rough experience, but the taste aspect is too often forgotten.

So this place gets like, minus a bazillion Really the worst, not for the drinks, or the dj or any of that, but because that just don’t give a damn about the neighbours. Here’s the deal, if you like the area, the respect the people who live above you, then STfU when outside. The street outside this place is NEVER quiet. Like never. I walked around the entire district one night and if you could find the noisest place, then turn that up to 11, you would have the street outside this bar. Do yourself a favour, send this place a message. Don’t go there

I love this place!(«I hate this place,» said Ann Marie’s Liver.) I arrived here the other night and tried to remember why I hadn’t brought the boyfriend here before. The music selection is great, and it has the benefit of being quiet enough to talk, yet you can put on headphones if you want to hear your music REALLYLOUD. Oh, and it is your music. Everything played is by request. When one bellies up to the bar the pleasant bar tenders plop slips of paper and a pen down with the drink. Just write your request and slip it to the DJ. The boyfriend handed me two slips of paper(of course, the girl has to go make the requests). Almost immediately they played«She Sell Sanctuary» by the Cult and«Temple of Love»(extended remix, even!) by Sisters of Mercy. When boyfriend took it as a personal challenge to stump the DJ with obscure, 80’s skate-punk, I told him, he was on his own with that. The headphones are a great gimmick. I used to joke that this would be a great first-date bar. If it went poorly, «Oh, wait! I love this song!» and then no more of his or her inane chatter. No, I didn’t take the now boyfriend here for our first date, and when it came time to order drinks I remembered why. This is a shot bar and we’re cheap and we can’t drink spirits. It’s 4 € for a beer and 3 € for a REALLYGOODSHOT. We ordered a round of Kamakazis and canas. The Kamakazis were poured with top shelf booze, so we were tempted to have another round. Heck for 3 €, this was a great deal. I would have loved to stay for several more hours, I remember this being a late night type bar as well, but we were off our bar stools drunk with in an hour. We made it home okay, but a little worse for the wear.

Such a great place to go to if you ever go to Barcelona… They have a selection of music to pick… its kind of like a DJ/Jukebox bar… they have several posters up on the wall next to the DJ and you pick an album you like and if you know the song on the album you write it down and give to the bartender so they can play it for you… They play the video and also around the Bar’s) above your stool you have Headsets to listen to the song… Its pretty great… its not so expensive either… beers were 2.50 €. shots were at lease 4.00 €… I have not seen a bar like this in NY. The bartender was great. we enjoyed her company and her friendliness… this is a bar you must see if you ever go to Barcelona :)

Yeeeahhh.

If you are lucky enough to find this place(well hidden, set back behind a red metal door down one of the typical tiny lanes in the Gothic Quarter off Las Ramblas). I maybe biased as I have fond memories but this place as it is like no other bar I have been toever. I can only describe it as a kinda heavy metal bar — but imagine a really cosy, relaxed heavy metal bar with no loud metal musicplus the clientele is not massively metal. Ok. ok look stay with me on this one. I was meeting friends here for the first time but coming straight from a very formal cocktail party in a dress which I could hardly sit down in let alone head bang. So even though I was the only one ridiculously over dressed and stood out like a drag queen at a WI meeting I immediately felt comfortable — the atmosphere is definitely anything goes. There is a long bar down either side of place and at each seat along the bar, there is an individual set of headphones, scraps of paper and pens on the counter. So you’re encouraged to write down musical requests on the little pieces of paper and hand them to the DJ — who looks like he has been DJ-ing one too many years. He stands in a tiny dingy booth at the end of the room. There is also a menu style music list to get your juices flowing but I say go off piste! It was waaay more fun seeing if Mr DJ man could deliver the goods, 9 times out of 10 he did. The music — which is not played loudly in the bar itself — ranges from classic metal to more recent bands and hair metal to hardcore, with indie stuff like the Cure and the Pixies thrown in for good measure. The idea is that when a song comes on that you like, you can put the headphones on and hear it at a quite extraordinary volume to really rock out! By far one of the best evenings I have ever had and with the Tequila flowing we so totally silently rocked that place out.
