Simple, cheap, fast. Every time I come to BCN I stop here for some good tapas. Strong sangria for a great price as well! Will come back at least once every time I visit! Try the datiles con bacon, patatas bravas, pan con tomate, chicken curry and chile con ternera.

Love! Their tapas start at 1 € and they offer complimentary wifi. The sangria is strong and cheap with colorful 2 foot-long straws. I am obsessed with their dates with bacon, love their patatas bravas, chili con carne, and melon y hamon. Lastly, as décor, they have white rocks all around the restaurant and markers lying around to write a message on the rocks. Recommend this place for anyone looking for cheap tapas and a great time.

The steak special was delish. It comes with fries, salad and either wine or beer. The customer service was on point. He took our order right away and gave us time to enjoy our drinks that came with a little side of corn nuts mixed with peanuts. Great combo. The steak was cooked to our request. We had an order of stuffed olives and they were soooo good that went along well with my glass of wine. I would definitely return for seconds. It’s in the Born quarters so you get a chance to hang around this quarter.

I only checked Unilocal after we had ordered. 3 stars didn’t look promising and we weren’t expecting much as we had stumbled into the first restaurant that we saw after leaving Museu Picasso(this spot is just around the corner from the museum, and may seem like a tourist trap– but it’s not). We were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. We shared a number of tapas and a couple racions — every single dish was delicious — and the owner(and chef) was an especially gracious host. You wouldn’t go here for the ambience so you shouldn’t expect much. But you will find a delicious, hearty meal after all the walking at the museum!

Don’t come here for food, maybe just for a drink or sangria. They lure you in with a 1E tapas flyer and once you sit down and look at the food menu you realize for that price you will only get a piece of bread. All the tapas that we have ordered and tried were tasteless, out of the can food. Its a shame really, its a cute and cozy place that has potentials but the poor food quality and unfriendly staff makes this place undesirable stop to come back to.

I stumbled upon this place walking in the Picasso Museum area… We were hungry so we just went in to grab some tapas. Atmosphere: It’s a cute looking place. It has some details in the decorating. Small place though so everything is tight. Food: The tapas were just OK. Not only were they just OK, they were on the pricey-er side for what I have seen in Barcelona. None of the tapas are what you would call«fresh,» they were all more like stuff they heated up from a box or something. However, they were tasty enough for what they were. Drink: I was excited to see some different flavored juices on the menu such as peach and mango and stuff but when I got them, they were straight out of a can. Very very much made from concentrate and really thick and just… what you would expect out of a can. Overall, it was just a below average place to eat tapas. I didn’t try the other food on the menu but the tapas were OK, juices were not good, prices were not so great. (Doesn’t take credit cards)

I had a hamburgesa which is small enough to fill a 4 year old’s plam and another small sized stuffed pimiento(pepper) each for 1,8 Euro and Brazil’s national cocktail ‘Caipirinha’ for 4 or 5 Euro. I did enjoy the extra small portion of tapas though, I gotta say. I wanted to have a drink and some appetizer so the whole thing suit me well. My friends were satisfied as well. But it is not top-notch, just good enough if you are on a budget. It is an international bar with Spanish language music in the background. You can watch games on TV as well. What I liked the most is that the ambiance with white color décor and candles on the tables. They have Wifi but strangely payment has to be in cash and you have you pay altogether if you are in a group of people?!! I don’t know who made these rules but it is okay. Go and try. A mesmerizing ambiance with cheap and average food. Bön Appétit .

Great value for the price and located just steps from the Picasso Museum. Very inexpensive, yet the food was still pretty good. Maybe I’ve grown accustomed to having plates that are very affordable correlate with what would normally make me later regret the decision to eat at restaurants with prices like that, but I was surprised not only with how satisfied I left, but with the non-traditional tapas that was offered, as well. I ate pork spare ribs, chicken tacos, dates wrapped in bacon, chili with(tortilla) chips, and croquettas. I am really over croquettas so that was my least favorite, but the rest were fine for a mere € 1. The ribs were actually really good, I just wish that they had had a little bit more meat on them. The tacos were not all that exciting either; I ended up tossing some chili in the there to fill them out a bit. The house wine wasn’t that great either. Service was great, nice décor and brightly lit space. I would def return if I was being budget conscious and in need of a good meal.

Decent place if you are in the mood for a quick bite and tapas. They also have free wi-fi. The patatas bravas were pretty good as was the grilled octopus.

This is the single most atrocious guiri bar I’ve been to. I live here and I work around the born /rambla a lot. Never have I come Across such ride staff and on top of that their beer was skunked! Don’t fall for the 1 euro tapas either, sure you can get peanuts for a euro but they’re free everywhere else!

We where there because of we looked for a restaurant which have steaks. The restaurant is situated in a typical street of Barí Gòtik where tourists will be ripped of ;-) But the location is nice, prices are ok and the foods are adequate. We had some Tapas and Steaks. Both have been seen better in other restaurants but the atmosphere and the really friendly staff do compensate the not high-class food.

Absolut lohnenswert!

After wandering around the Born today, we came up the street from where the Picasso Museum is — and were handed a flyer for 1EUR tapas. uh — sure… why not. The place was bright with white walls and some art… there was only one guy running the whole joint — doing the register, waiting tables, bussing and cleaning — and pouring the drinks… in multiple languages! He was Danish, but spoke perfect English, Spanish, German… i’m sure there was more. The predominant language I heard at Tapadu was English.(that included me and my friend Kevin). About the food: so they do have a few tapas at 1EUR — but most of the better things were slightly more… still pretty cheap. And it was good. nothing gourmet or spectacular — but if you’re hungry and just want a couple of things to hold you over — go for it. The omelet was my favorite. the calamari was too doughy(too much batter) — and the pan con tomate was almost the equivalent of white bread drizzled with olive oil and a bit of finely chopped tomato spread atop. for the 2 of us sharing 4 tapas, a draft beer, and a café solo — it came to a total of 7,50EUR. no complaints free wi-fi — just ask for the code.
