What a wonderful find! I am definitely a fan of this restaurant. Only 11 minute walk from the Grand Marina Hotel as well. We had a delightful time. Our lovely waiter was Jordi. He was so great in describing every detail on how the food was prepared. We loved the duck and paella. Wine was wonderful. A great low priced restaurant not to be missed.

Txikiteo is one of Barcelona’s best kept secrets offering delicious traditional Spanish food that doesn’t put a dent in your wallet! Located in the Gothic Quarter, in the centre of the old city of Barcelona, Txikiteo offers a wide range of Tapas and other delightful Spanish dishes along with a large selection of beers and strong cocktails. A tapas combo with a beer will set you back only € 3 – 5, a bargain in an area surrounded by tourist traps. We’re all guilty of occasionally choosing restaurants based on reputation or how fancy or impressive they look but Txikiteo is a typically humble example of a restaurant that lets it’s food and service do the talking. What you get is a traditional Spanish tapas restaurant that offers tasty tapas delights to fill you up along with a selection of drinks that will prepare you for the evening to come. Add to this friendly staff, great service and very affordable prices and you have the perfect quick lunch or dinner option. They even have free Wi-Fi. Winning!

Good Spanish food. We had paella and it was real. Took 20 min to prepare and we enjoyed some tapas while waiting. Service was good. One street from the marina and Columbus statue and away from crowed tourist places.

Yum yum yum! All the tapas here are delicious! We asked the waiter for suggestions and he brought out some great tapas. The croquets, pan con tomate, meats… everything! The sangria was also AMAZING! Best Sangria we had in Barcelona. They have free wifi and the waiters are really friendly and helpful. Nice ambiance and location. Definitely recommend!

Basque cuisine. An excellent overall meal, I wish that I had ordered more food. We ordered patatas bravas, tomato and bread, sausage with apple cider, and something else that I cannot remember. All of it was delicious, and the forgotten dish does NOT speak to the quality, there were just too many restaurants tried to remember some of what goes where. The potato and tomato dishes were some of the best of these dishes that we had. The sausage was a welcome variation on a lot of similar food that we had on our trip. We were in need of coffee, our server offered to «make something special» he made café mocha for us. This was not the café mocha that I am used to. A deep, dark chocolate flavor, and nicely roasted coffee with cream. A nice dessert for our meal. Our server was friendly, passionate about the food, and attentive.

Just down an alley off the main waterfront. Advertised as Basque food. Gave off a bit of a pub/tavern vibe from the outside. Quiet, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and enjoyed talking about the region and culture. As we finished one small plate, we just kept ordering more from the menu. Food was simple and very good. Probably our favorite place during this trip. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic food, english menu available, some english skills. I had the potato and Catalian sausage starter. It was a rich beef broth with peppers potatoes, and sausage. For a main, ox tails. In red wine. Fantastic. Marilyn had e cod in tomato sauce. She ALS raised about it. For desert the chocolate torte very good, but would have been better warm. Location is very close to the Desenses metro stop at the end of the Rambia. Came here for a repeat, food still fantastic. However the service really sucked this time. Skipped deserts(postatdes) this time as the waiter never checked back.
