Well, I didn’t get any food, just a Sangria con cava. It is huge and delicious. Very nice outdoor area. The waiter approached me asking if I wanted a drink, and yes I guess I did.

Food is above average. The drink are extremely expensive and so is the food. I recommend don’t even stop by. The waiters are fast and attentive but for a 2 coke colas it’s € 15 and for two sangrias it’s € 23. I would go somewhere else. We had the seafood paella and the huevos estrillados con jamon iberico. It was good but they are over priced!

Geschmacklich super essen. Hatten Paella und gegrillte Dorade. Beides ausgezeichnet. Preise sind jedoch recht hoch, aber was will man an der turistrasse anderes erwarten. Die Kellner waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit

PROS Awesome staff, delicious food, CONS A wee bit small, but so is every other place! Amaya’s is a hidden jewel in las Ramblas. If you know anything about Las Ramblas, you would know that all food near this area is crappy overrpiced food for tourists, but this place is the exception. Yes it is a bit pricey(14 euros for Paella) but it is for a reason. They use fresh ingridients! Most of the Paella in other places is frozen and it is a add water solution, here they make it from scratch you can taste it! They also have their house Sangria which is awesome you need to try it! You can skip the Caprese salad, nothing special but the Ensalada con todo was delicious! I realized when we were done dining that they had the option to eat outside but the inside is actually nice as well, they have many awards they have won displayed and it is pleasant and a step up from street dining.

Cool little spot in Barcelona, Spain on Las Rambas, had the Lamb leg with potatoes. Very good and nice spot with people watching potential if your outside. They also have WiFi if your eating there.

La Rambla is a crazy place full of people eating, drinking, and locals trying to pick your pocket. But it’s charming and smells great and you can buy pretty much anything along the way from groceries to souvenirs to flowers. We found Restaurant Amaya late one night after flying into Barcelona. I’m always wary of restaurants that have pictures of the food, but we quickly realized it was the norm in highly trafficked areas, likely due to the high volume of tourists. My husband had the pizza, which sort of cracked me up(you come to Spain and have pizza???), but he did love it. I ordered the vegetable paella and was not disappointed. The portion was enormous but I just kept saying, «one more bite… I’ll have one more bite.» Also, the sangria is great but HUGE. We mistakenly ordered two(it costs as much as our food), and it was essentially a soup tureen full of sangria. Order one and split it!

I only had the(gigantic) goblet of sangria, but I am a fan. It is great to sit outside and people watch on La Rambla. Our waiter epitomized service with a smile and didn’t badger us to order food although the menu looked very appealing.

Preis 13EUR… also für gutes Geld wenig Leistung!
