I don’t believe I’ve ever written a bad review, but I have to let everyone know how bad this place is. To keep it short– my Manhattan was made with scotch, the table bread was cold and soggy with jam, the server couldn’t communicate with us at all, and 3 bites of the paella made me literally sick within minutes. I’ll spare you the details there. Shame on me for falling into a tourist trap but hopefully I can save someone else from the same fate. DONOTEATHERE!

Anyone been to Spain knows how difficult it is to find a good early breakfast spot outside of hotels. Apparently the entire nation have a feeding schedule just a little later than the rest of the world. Xop D’or was a really nice little surprise find. If you want tapas for breakfast, this is the place for you. The tapas combo includes more than enough food for two hungry persons to share. Not to mention it is fairly priced too. The tapas were mostly traditional varieties. Quality is decent. Friendly service and accommodating staff. We certainly felt very welcomed.

The restaurant was empty… and I mean EMPTY when we went in. It felt as if the whole restaurant was reserved for us… and the restaurant isn’t small either, its a pretty big restaurant that probably seat about 150 ppl. Being the only customers there felt a bit awkward at first. It was prime time for dinner time and there was NOONE there but us. But with great service(well i hope they will give us full attention since no one else was there) we soon felt comfortable and the empty restaurant turned rather relaxing. I ordered the Cod which was really good and my bf ordered the Pasta Bolognaise(don’t ask me why) but it was pretty good as well. Other people in our party ordered COD and my friend got the Paella which was not the best but was definitely delicious. If you are near the magic fountain in Barcelona, definitely check this place out! I hate to see this place so empty :(
