I’ve had at least a dozen friends tell me that they like this place. I’ve seen on their FB book feed that their employees are«super helpful». I walked in and was complexity underwhelmed. I was not greeted or asked if I needed help. However the two people who came in just after me were. The employee even asked the man if he needed help and talked to him about what they offer. Maybe it was because I had kids with me? I’m not sure but the staff wasn’t friendly or helpful and the overall atmosphere was, I don’t even know how to describe it, almost metallic. Like there was nothing comforting about the place, which is what I would expect in a tea shop. It’s likely I’ll go back once to get a second first impression but don’t hold your breath.

This place has so many different teas to choose from. They all taste really good. They have live music sometimes, and I really enjoy that. The barista knows my name and I don’t really go too often, maybe once or twice per month. The only complaint is the tables honestly are too small and are just funky. Not too good for working. I would give it full stars if it was little better for working, but if you like tea, TRYIT! If you need to study or work, maybe don’t plan on staying long.

This place is fantastic! I love the unsweetened tea options. The unsweetened peach is by far the best i have ever had. While it would be nice if they had some light snack options, it IS a tea store. I can see why they dont serve much food. The tea pots and accessories are really nice, as well. Great gift options!

I typically come to this location at least once a week and I get tea by the ounce and prepare it at home. Well the last couple of times I’ve gone I’ve received terrible customer service. The new manager at this location is not respectful at all towards her customers. The other workers however are typically very kind and helpful. I’m just so disappointed in the last service I had with them. TERRIBLEMANAGEMENT!

Love that we finally have a loose leaf tea option in Abilene. I am a big fan and customer. Never had a problem! Always fresh brewed and a very clean place. My favorite as of right now is the Sweet Chia Tea and I love it hot. Other favorites: Banana Macaroon, Berry Pie Herbal, Relaxing Mint, Cool Mint, and Green Tea Cherry Sencha.

Horrible customer service. Workers continue to converse when their are customers waiting to be helped. I know work is supposed to be fun but be professionals first.

Love the vanilla bean tea and the prices can’t be beat! If you haven’t tried it yet you should so many tea options, one complaint is that the staff is not very personable, or helpful, they often are talking to each other ignoring customers or they are on their phones seeming very disinterested in assisting customers. If you don’t know what to do you could be looking at a wall of tea not knowing for sure how to go about getting your cup of tea,.

Tea 2 Go is a great store for buying loose leaf teas to take home and brew yourself. Every now and then I have it brewed there, but usually I grab an iced tea from the bar though it’s not my favorite. There is an impressive number of different teas brewed and ready to go. You can fill up a large cup for next to nothing and even bring it back for discounted refills. I like the tea bar, but sometimes i get the feeling that the tea I’ve selected is not fresh. Another gripe I have is there usually seems to be a lot more sweetened options than unsweetened. Sometimes, there is a distinct, uniform taste present in any flavor I get, and it’s not necessarily a good one. I’m sure it’s just their tea urns that give it that familiar note. Having lemons available on the bar would neutralize that flavor I don’t like, add a natural flavor I do, and generally solve a lot of these issues for me. None of this is really a problem, however, because I prefer to buy tea by the ounce and make it at home. They have a pretty excellent selection of interesting flavors. I recommend the green apple sencha. It’s a green tea that kinda has a hint of green apple jolly rancher to it. Smells and tastes wonderful. There’s free wifi and plenty of seating but I never feel inclined to stay too long. The seats aren’t very comfortable and the atmosphere just doesn’t feel right for studying. The staff is usually pretty friendly. There are usually many different perks, discounts and specials going on so keep your eyes open for a deal.

I went in just to get a black tea with ice and lemon. They had no lemon and the tea was awful. For those of us in West Texas that grew on on Liptons Brewed iced tea, this place is a HUGE disappointment. If you want to sell tea in Texas, you need to have some we can drink. I will not go back.

I am in love w/tea 2 go. I have never had a problem and every time we go down to Abilene for a tennis tournament we always have to stop and get some tea. They have great comfy couches and makes u feel at home and the employee Jaime was great to us and new exactly what she was doing. Also I can’t wait to get a tea 2 go in San Antonio cause my family and I love it. Taylor

I love tea. And I want to like Tea2Go. It’s such a great idea for a restaurant. However, the customer service is sooo lacking. I came in on a Sunday afternoon on my break, having a little over an hour to kill, and wanted to just sit down and chill for a while. First of all, I walk in(no greet, hello? Anyone acknowledge me?). The employees blew me off like I was supposed to know what I was doing. Anyways, when I got my tea, expecting to have time in a calm place, I was forced to sit down on these hard stools(crafty and creative, yes, but comfy, no) and listen to Long Island Medium blaring on the tv. (Btw they don’t have honey to put in tea, which made me very upset). While I was just sitting on this little iron stool, minding my own business, the employees were just talkin it up. I felt silently judged for sitting there in my work uniform, alone. Anyways, these catty girls made me feel uncomfortable, and I probably won’t come back. Thanks :)

I’m giving them three stars because they have so much potential! If the owners read this, here are my critics, praises, and suggestions– Critics: — We tried to order Earl Grey tea and the worker said«she had never heard of that». — Far too few seating options. Picture a cozy tea shop… Now picture the opposite and that’s what Tea2Go feels like inside. — They had the TV on super loud and playing a bad TLC phony psychic show. — The one employee on duty seemed confused about how to make tea. I know it’s new but if you want to sell this as a premium spot, employees need to know how to deliver a premium product. Praises: — Beside the lack of Earl Grey tea, the selection was pretty great! They have a cool wall filled with a variety of tea. — Extremely clean. I know it’s new but it seemed like they succeed at keeping a tidy shop. — Although the employee did not seem to know what she was doing, she was very nice! That definitely counts for something. Suggestions: — Train employees to be tea experts(or as much as they can be at this level). — Add some more seating options and decorations to make it feel cozier. It currently feels like Sam’s Club when it should feel more like classic coffee shop. — if you have TV’s playing, put them on mute and have something like the news or BBC playing. — Add some soft music to set a more relaxed mood. Thanks for listening. I want this place to be great!

Interior is clean, well-organized, interesting seating choices. Like little kids, my companions decided to try them all out. lol. The tea is priced per ounce if you buy bulk. It’s a better value to just go for the big 44 oz. iced of your choice. Cheyene was very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the free wi-fi(Tea2Go password unlocked) and the reclining sofas in a quiet atmosphere. Probably not my first choice but a very pleasant afternoon hang-out.

DONOTGOHERE! My wife and I are avid tea drinkers. We have well over 60 – 70 varieties of tea in our own personal collection. Some of these are generic, a lot of them are specialty or gourmet teas. Bags, loose leaf, or powder ranging from north american teas to all the way from Turkey. We were looking for a refreshing new place to grab a glass of hot or cold tea, but alas, all we were greeted with was total disappointment. When we first went in we were greeted by a friendly enough staff member. She looked like she had just been hired from the local college and had the air of a sophmore year sorority girl. She seemed knowledgeable enough about the teas but a lot of it sounds like it was being parroted from a booklet. Overall the staff wasn’t a problem. Where the true travesty begins is when we began smelling the tea. First off, the whole establishment smells like potpourri. So essentially it smells like a rich lady’s bathroom. We began by smelling some white teas. They smelled alright. Mild, non-intrusive, but pleasant and tangy. Next we moved to the greens. These smelled much stronger, like grass fermented in water for a few years. Not pleasant at all, and I’m a huge fan of strong greens like sencha or gunpowder. Next were the blacks. This killed it for us. My wife picked up a vanilla, chocolate, cranberry chai, and I swear that someone took a crap on my face. The smell was so overpowering and disgusting that both my wife and I began dry heaving on the spot. We regrouped and smelled a few more blacks and were met with the same experience. Terrible smell!!! Absolutely gut wrenching. Why would anyone ever want to drink something that smelled that horrible? Tea is meant to be a gentle, relaxing, soothing exprience. Not a nose twisting horror story! Needless to say, we left without purchasing anything to drink. Tea2Go, you’re doing Tea wrong. On top of all of that just about every vaccum seal container was either broken or sealed so tight that you can’t take the lid off. Mind you we visited this store about 1 week after it opened. Overall this was a terrible experience, we’re never going back, and we’re making a point to tell anyone who enjoys real tea and the experience of tea to stay away from this. To a true connoisseur of tea, saying Tea2Go has good tea is the equivalent of saying Starbucks serves gourmet coffee to a true coffee connoisseur. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

I really want to like this place, but currently the service is lacking, perhaps because they’ve recently opened, hopefully it gets better. Second time in here, first time I ordered a chai tea which I was unable to have made with soy milk because they don’t offer it; second time they lost my order for an iced tea, even after I watched them write my name down on ticket and place my order in the que. Please get better
