Bartenders could be more friendly, slow never give you free drinks. Foods pretty good but they lost their chef Fergie. You can smoke in there and cigars that’s what’s nice about it. People going there are pretty friendly. Bernadette the owner she’s tough on the bartenders and customers like I said no free drinks. When your Steady customer once a while is nice to get a free drink. So you feel appreciated my going in there.

It’s ok. I’m not a fan of smoking bars, but it’s not terrible. I like their pong tournaments on Thursdays.

Place really disappointed me. Food us mediocre. Too many fruit flies while eating. Drinks are so watered down, asked for no ice, served a drink with ice, as ked to remove it, drink returned but wasn’t a dtink. Was a sip. People are so rude and ignorant. I never saw such rude people. Waitress was nice, other than that, never going back. Can’t root for your team without sarcasm. They sang a song to my man, which was the most ignorant thing ever witnessed. If I was a person who legally could shut them down, it wouldn’t be open. I would close them down faster than a fruit fly could fly by your face while eating. Ran into a waitress who works there, told her the place was awful. She Couldn’t Even Deny it. Low class, low level service, low level bartenders, don’t even know why I’m wasting my time rating it. Just a warning to future patrons… it sucks. Go anywhere else. Your welcome.

We saw a great band there! Food was Ok, service was weak, DRINKSWEREREALLYWEAK. I had 6 mixed drinks within 2 ½ hours(at $ 5 a drink) and didn’t even feel a buzz. I am not a big drinker, either. If you are going to charge $ 5 for a tiny glass full of ice and a few sips of soda, at least put a respectable amount of alcohol in it! or if you’re going to rip me off by shorting me alcohol, at least give me a bigger glad of soda so I feel like I got something out of it. We also came out of there smelling like an ashtray. So if you like weak drinks and cigarette smoke, give it a try!

Waitress was nice, although not really up to speed on the menu, as she was in her first week. Price was ok, what you would expect for a local pub. Hot Roast Beef & Hot Roast Pork Sandwiches were tasty, the french fries were covered with Old Bay seasoning, Mehhhh. I would probably rate this place another star if the stench of cigarettes did not overpower the room.

Hurray for Holly– Wood you let me eat my food Dad bought first beer here The Hollywood is a Rockledge institution. I don’t have the exact dates, but my 67 yr old dad told me he bought his first beer here. I’ve been told about lots of recent improvements, but whatever they may be it’s just a good old freestanding tavern. Expect a 20 person U shaped bar with several TVs in each direction. The bar is set off center to a larger dining room with lots of seating. This is Rockledge, so smoking happens at the bar. On my last visit we sat about 20 ft from the bar and had no idea anyone was smoking, so well ventilated. Food: I think I had a good burger. I say«think» because I lost the seat lottery and found myself next to a cracked out couple on the downside of a 4day binge. This MFer would NOT stop asking me if my burger was any good and offering me some of his soup. After the 4th «So, uh hey man. How’s that burger, huh?» I finally had to tell him to shut up and let me eat it in peace and I’d tell him! Before he could muster the few FUs he responded with, his girl pulled herself away from the cell phone tracking down their next fix(I’m not lying, I heard the conversation) to tell him to shut up and quit bringing attention to them… nice! But I digress… Service: I’ve never seen the same bartender twice. The burger day I speak of was worked by a 50ish«Lurch» type, who shortly after the incident I described, brought them their check and told them they were not welcome anymore. I was impressed. There was also a very attractive 20 something who was doing all the leg work around the bar and serving food. She made her share of drinks too, so not a waitress, just picking up Lurch’s slack. Very efficient, very friendly. My last visit a guy that looked like Frasier’s dad was popping beers. Easy enough. Atmosphere: besides what I described I’ll add that despite being a locals bar in a tight knit area, I’ve never felt like«the outsider». Go in, eat, drink, enjoy… just don’t act like a cracked out jerk!
