Never fails. Try every taco, grab a side of avocado and enjoy! And, don’t forget the horchata. Thank goodness they only allow 1 refill or I would drink all day while ordering just 1 more taco.

We eat here all the time! I’ve never had anything but the tacos, but they’re delicious and super cheap. Nom nom.

Love Love Love! I’ve never gone here and not enjoyed my food. They are quick to get the food out to you and it’s always nice and warm. It’s authentic and just like what I’ve gotten when in Mexico with family. Of course the atmosphere could use a bit of updating but I’ve always gotten my food to-​go. The Horachata is also to die for! Almost as good as my mothers.

Went to Taqueria El Don today after reading the many positive Unilocal reviews. I must agree, It was delicious. I had 2 chicken, 2 pork, and 2 steak tacos. Enjoyed all three types equally. They are simply served with onion and cilantro. They are small but authentic and priced cheaply ($.99 ea.). My plate was served with lime (thank you!) and some sort of jalapeño pickled carrots (which I did not care for but to each their own). I also had the Horchata which was delicious. I will definitely be back!

If you want authentic Mexican food and not Taco Bell food this is a great place to eat. The taco truck is great too!

Authentic Mexican tacos that are extremely delicious. Only problem is the wait but it’s because of all the business this place gets. Very inexpensive tacos too so it’s always a place of interest for myself.

as a native californian living in the south, I’ve been longing to find a restaurant in the area that evokes the same mouth-​watering memories as the taco trucks of my youth. I have thankfully found that at El Don. while small and simple in size and décor, the food inside will blow your mind.
I faithfully order the tripas burrito whenever I make the northward journey to this little hole in the wall, and the trip is worth it every time. the horchata is consistently delicious and refreshing, and I could eat the house escabeche by the pound. also be sure to stock up on their salsa rojo at the condiment bar. your tastebuds will thank you later.
do yourself a favor: skip the tex mex restaurants in the area and come check out this authentic diamond in the rough. there’s also a pupuseria in the same strip, so you know you’ll be in good company.

The food was great!!! This place is not fancy, but they sure put out GREAT food at reasonable prices!
Oh yes, the white drink [have no idea of its name] in the big dispenser on the counter was delicious.
BTW, the young lady on the register who took my orders was wonderful at patiently answering this gringo’s dumb questions.

Best tacos around. Authentic Mexican in a hole in the wall location but the never have let me down. Their taco truck which is about 1 ½ miles away tastes exactly the same. They also sell colas in the glass bottles which taste so much better than cans. You have to try if in the area.

Lovr there tacos and the menudo is fantastic. Its nice to have great aunthetic Mexican food down the street from the house. We eat there at least once a week

An updated review is long overdue. I dream of these carne asada tacos in my sleep. The meat is always perfectly tender with minimal gristle, the rice is consistent and the guacamole is awesome. They have better than restaurant food quality at fast food prices. While they don’t have alcohol, you can eat your tacos while sipping Mexican coke straight out of the bottle. I just took my friends and they won’t stop talking about it. They’ve already gone back after just a few days and you probably will too

Very pleasantly surprised by this taco truck. I pass it daily and theres always a line of people but Ive always been scared to try it for sanitary concerns. (They were in fact very clean!) But I decided to stop last week and I was very pleased. I ordered a steak taco plate and a chicken taco for my toddler. It was a little spicy, good for me but not for my daughter but the rice and beans were good for her. Love the homemade corn tortillas and cilantro and onions. Yummm. I plan on visiting again and trying other items.

This used to be my absolute favorite place to get Mexican food but lately there food hasn’t been living up to what it used to be. My boyfriend and i went yesterday and got a steak torta with meat so tough and bread so hard it was unfit to eat. The chicken quesadilla was good though. I’m not ready to give up on them yet, I’ve lived them for far too long, so I’m hoping I’ve just gone in on bad days. Here’s hoping next time is better.

Thank you Jesus I found this place. I just transplanted here from San Diego, California and I’ve been on the hunt for real Mexican food… Not chilitos or taco bell status, but legit Mexican food. I’ve tried about 5 places before finding this little gem. Now I can stop my hunt because this is my go to place from now on. Food, prices, speed, EVERYTHING is on point!

Don’t be turned off by the location/​appearance/​etc. this place is the BEST. If you like simple and perfect Mexican food, this is it. Why go to a fast food place when you can get real .99 tacos for take out here?

I guess I’m not a fan of ‘authentic’ Mexican food, though the chicken quesadilla and steak taco tasted pretty good. :) I also tried the fish and beef tongue taco which I’m not a fan of either one, but I figured I’d give it a go while I was there.
I just wish the taco ‘tortillas’ (maybe they’re called something else???) were fresh made, and lightly grilled. THAT would make it taste even better.

Move over taco shops El Don is the best place to grab Mexican food in Cobb & Cherokee Counties. Plus if you are looking for high quality take away food then they have a taco truck a few blocks down the road that has the same quality food at a fast delivery time. I have tried nearly everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.
