Great atmosphere and place to watch sports and have a drink. Nice area very upscale but reasonable prices

Just awful… Tried to keep giving this place multiple chances in the food department and they were improving regardless of their outrageous prices for an off market bar in Addison. But the poor customer service has gotten too grand to ignore and we will not be returning for any reason regardless of the nearby proximity

Great bar, glad that got a pool table! The bar is on point and food is too, for the most part. I ordered the street tacos(the bomb!) and the frito pie(meh,… needed something more. Scoop fritos, RICE, something…) great bar though minus 1 stars for lack of creativity in the menu. Over all though great place to watch a stars game.

READBEFOREGOING!!! I’ve been to Addison Ice House several times now with my boyfriend, we like that it’s convenient and close to where we live which is walking distance. The food is OK for a price that’s not really worth it. The main reason I kept going back is because of the funnel cake fries. However, the past 3 times I’ve ordered from here the service has been absolutely unacceptable. The first time I called ahead to make an order and the lady on the phone who just seemed like she had no clue how to take down an order apparently failed to ring it in and when I walk in 15 minutes later the place is dead and then I find out that there was no record of my order being placed because she«forgot.» Seriously??? How do you forget to ring in a simple to-go order when it’s not even busy? Come on now. We were so hungry we just left and went across the street to MH Café. Anyways, second time we gave it another shot and ordered a quesadilla, burger, and funnel cake fries. Little did we know they gave our order to someone else!!! Yeah you read it correctly. We showed up to pick up our food and were told that someone just left with it. Moving on. Few weeks later we gave it a third try and ordered two burgers to-go, hoping that there wouldn’t be any problems with our order this time… WRONG! We pick up our order and get home and realize that they failed to put all the toppings on the burger that we asked for, and there wasn’t any lettuce, tomatoes or pickles. Not to mention, they shorted us with the little toppings they did give us, and the avocado I ordered for a topping on my burger. It was literally a slice the size of my thumb and I have a pretty small hand. I called them back when a woman picked up and she redirected to the manager. When he picked up the phone he immediately spoke to me in a rude tone claiming that when you order a build your own burger they don’t include lettuce tomatoes and pickles, and I said«okay I understand that. However, y’all still failed to put avocado on one burger, and shortened us with the toppings(they literally put 3 small jalapeño caps on one burger and a tiny slice of avocado on the other). My boyfriend requested a refund and went back to retrieve his money. When he got there the manager told him as he was handing him back the money«we’ve found that when couples call and try to place an order usually they try and talk over each other over the phone and the person taking the order gets confused» Uhm… that is definitely not true because I’m the one who placed the order over the phone, my boyfriend was not even in the same room as I was whenever I called. The phone was never near him so there could not have been any confusion whatsoever. To me, it sounds like the manager has a hard time taking responsibility for his or his staff’s mistakes. The very least a decent restaurant manager could do is to apologize for their mistakes instead of trying to shift the blame to the customer. A restaurant that really cared about its customers and business would try and do anything to show the customer that they made an honest mistake and that they believe in what they are selling enough to try and get another chance. To that, I’ve given the Ice House quite a few chances, honestly, I really wanted to like them, but I can’t return to a restaurant that doesn’t value its customers or the food it serves. I hope you take this review into consideration before investing your time and money there.

Small sports bar that has a great little vibe, very nice selection of craft beers including my fav 512 Pecan Porter on tap and a super friendly staff. Plenty of TVs for watching games. Nice patio.

Not from Texas but work regularly here. Whenever I travel I use the Unilocal app to help me decide where to eat/hangout. Read 10 – 15 reviews about the places near my hotel before I decide where to go. I read some about the Ice Box, some were good, some not so good but I decided to check it out. Tuesday night at 7 pm and the place is 2⁄3 full. Plenty of staff on hand to support who’s here and the Manager is supporting the team where/when they need it. Everyone is very friendly, especially my waitress Stephanie. Drink has been full the entire time, food was good and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere! I will come back.

From all appearances, pretty cool place, sports TVs everywhere, good views of the lake, wide selection of beers. Won’t be back and here is why — Service: none what so ever to speak of. The wait staff would rather hang out at the end of the bar by the kitchen and chat it up with each other than take care of customers. We are at the other end of the bar; no wait staff is coming by to check on us. We have to flag someone down to get a beer or water filled. The place was far from being overwhelmed in business so there is no excuse, in fact, business was pretty light. Like I said, they would rather chat up with each other than take care of business. Food. Food sucked. Really. First ordered wings, basically came out to be dry bird. Then ordered up the nachos. How can you foul up nachos. According to them, it took 16 minutes to make nachos but it was a lot longer than that. I don’t think the bartender put the order in timely — like when he got it. Once the nachos finally got there, they were terrible. Barely warm, sparse cheese, a little«dab» of meat, a scoop of sour cream in the center of the plate together with jalapenos and some guacamole. Food sucked. Music. Background. Okay, all about having a little background tunes. No doubt. But look, I didn’t come to your place to listen to your music. Way too loud, drowning out conversation. I mean loud loud. Turns out, it was a waitress playing her playlist through the restaurant’s sound system. Turn your s___down. Thanks. At the end, they gave us a free whatever card. We gave it to the lady next to us and walked out. The bottom line — the place has a lot of potential and could be really cool. Owner needs to shake it up before the doors are closed.

GREAT happy hour drink specials and can’t go wrong with the pulled pork egg rolls! I go there just to grab those whenever I’m in the area. The staff is really cool and the atmosphere is low key and cozy. Great bar to watch games at also!

Had a blast here! Came in on a Saturday afternoon and we’re greeted warmly by the staff. Music was awesome and the service was phenomenal. We ordered a couple craft cocktails that were by no means prohibition style but still tasty and strong. For lunch we had a couple burgers and some loaded cheese fries they were all delicious. I will definitely be back.

This place gets 1 star for the fact that the food was Decent. The drinks however are a disgrace. At an average of $ 11 per drink you would think that maybe the bar tender would make them remotely tasty. The reality is Just the opposite. For example the long Island ice teas at this cheap establishment could be described as lemon water with a splash of gin. The only good drinks are the ones that come bottled and not handmade. Pathetic bartender service. Would not go back if it was the last bar on earth.

GREAT for sports! However I rate 2 starts because they have Fox News. News stations should be banned from bars!

I love the Addison area. This bar was cool. Had jumbo televisions to enjoy sports on while having your drink of choice. I went with their flight. I got to choose from 5 different beers in very reasonable«sample-sized» glasses. & with the price being only $ 10, I would recommend anyone to go that route, flights are very enjoyable. I also tried their bbq wings that were pretty good. They’re grilled & have a smoked taste to them. Slightly burnt, which is the way I like it. They fries were ok.

A nothing-overly-special-but-certainly-does-the-trick sports bar in a nice location. It’s in the middle of several apartment complexes, making it an absolutely perfect place to grab a bite or a drink if you live near. Alternatively, if you do not live near, there’s a nice park for strolling nearby as well as a doggie day care. So if you want to grab a post stroll drink and/or drown your tears in beer after saying bye to Fido… As far as food: thumbs up on the chicken tenders. Thumbs sidewaysish on their ribs. Don’t get me wrong I like spicy food, but I’m not sure I want my ribs to be(and if they are, is falling off the bone too much to expect?). Standard beer list, decent amount of options, but nothing tantalizing. I’d have no problem coming here, but I’m not trampling anyone to make it back anytime soon either.

Came here on a holiday weekend and it was very empty. The bartender was quick friendly and made pretty good drinks. I ordered a burger with jalapeño and cheese anfn guacamole but it was very bland. Probably won’t come back although the place has potential. Better food and drink specials would help

The service was good and the beer selection is OK. The food was less than average. I had the fish tacos and my friend had the chimichanga. We both agreed that the two dishes we ordered were pretty bland. Also, there’s some tea party propaganda on the walls, which is a turn off. Keep the politics out of a customer service industry, please.

I’ve had my eye on The Addison Ice House for months trying to talk myself into going in. From my vantage point over the past five months, the typical patrons appear to be dude bros with backward baseball caps bro-ing it up in the street blasting music from their pickup trucks at 2AM, or mackin’ on some girl against the wall outside of the bar. I’ve witnessed what appears to be a bizarre mating ritual that I am unfamiliar with between the dude bros that involves revving engines, squealing tires, loud music, and howling. A great deal of hoopin’ and hollerin’, not exactly my cup of tea. Addison Ice House announced their weekend brunch and like any self respecting middle class white girl, I love me some brunch! I left my dog at home for this maiden trip, as I wasn’t sure if the regular rowdy crowd would be in attendance.(The patio is now pup friendly.) Thankfully, we were the only patrons out on the patio, sharing it with employees along with their children having a staff meeting. The brunch menu had four items to choose from; chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, breakfast tacos, and a breakfast scramble. Bloody Marys and Mimosas were also available, and not as competitively priced as their closest neighbor. The scramble was nice, although a bit busy. Seasoned potatoes topped with eggs, cheese, brisket, sausage gravy, and a sweet BBQ sauce. The sauce was a bit sweet for me, I would have preferred a spicy hot sauce. I had a bite of the chicken and waffles and I did appreciate the boneless chicken. I am interested to see how the brunch menu evolves. My worry is that the Ice House’s regular target audience may not be the brunch crowd. I hope word spreads and we have another great brunch option in the area.

Tried this place out on a Sunday afternoon to watch the Cowboys game. Bright and clean. Plenty of TVs. Crappy drink specials though. Sundays are only $ 3 Miller Lites. And their HHs on the weekdays are just $ 1 off drinks. We ordered some loaded cheese fries which had some thick slices of bacon. Our waitresses were attentive and checked on us frequently.

A very nice hangout place in a very nice area. They have good selections of beers and very attentive bartenders. I’d comeback more often if I don’t live really far away from this place. Would definitely comeback for their Smoked Wings. For $ 8 it’s really a good deal and really really tasty. These wings is comparable to Bone Daddy’s. Prices are moderate, not very expensive.
