I thought this was the old Duke’s on Belt Line by Sam’s Club(now Snuffer’s). We went there to try it, I had a grilled chicken sandwich, which was good. We had a few beers, basically we were commiserating after a co-worker passed away suddenly. I don’t recall much of it because it was an emotional day. Cut to the last few times going there, I asked for a blackened chicken sandwich(not on the menu, but they made it for me). This was great and the fries are awesome! Now my wife had fish tacos and hated them, but everything else was good. My wife and I went there today(she was not excited, but knows I love the salsa) and she had the salad(recommended by a co-worker). She loved it! I had the blackened chicken again and the salsa(free during their 11 – 7 happy hour). Service was good, not sure what it is like at night, we have only been at lunch. Best. Salsa. In. Dallas!(if you like it spicy).

If I could give it zero stars I would. Walked in bar area. Waited 5 mins for an obnoxious bartender to ask us what we wanted to drink(bald head guy). We had to clean our own table. Looked like he has a shitty attitude from jump wasn’t my fault. We ordered ice tea. He went behind the bar and slopped the ice tea all over the place. Brought us the 2 glasses over flowing with tea. He walked off and that was it. We were there to eat and watch the game. We sat there for 25 mins and no person that worked there asked us for ANYTHING. There were some people that came in after us. They had tables moved for them and everything by a tall grey haired guy that seemed like the manager. The workers still didn’t even look in our direction. I finally had enough and paid for the bs ice tea and left. I hate to say this. But I couldn’t help but feel that these people didn’t serve us because we were black. Some people there would say well there were 2 or 3 other black people there. But they were there with co workers. So that’s a different story. This was the absolute crappiest place of service I’ve been to in years. I couldn’t believe it. But it happened that exact way. No bs

There is a bartender here by the name of Michelle. She will flirt with any man in this place… EVENYOURBOYFRIEND when you are sitting right there beside him! She will barge right over to your table and start a conversation with him right In the middle of a conversation you are having. She also drinks on the job and showed us that and told us that. The place is hard to get in and out of as well.

Been here before. As usual help was very attentive, food delicious. Prices not out of line. I had the Club Sandwich was so filled, I took ½ home. My daughter had the Chicken Club and she took ½ home. Our male waiter was attentive, owner helped change channel of tv at our booth and exchanged niceties. I feel the food is especially good, prices fair. The fries were so good too. They fix them someway that makes the taste special. I love this place. Worth the drive!!! At this point NON-SMOKING as all Texas should. We come from Iowa where you can not smoke except outside(but not in stadiums) and despite all the dire warnings from smokers, it only took about 2 weeks for all businesses to return to normal trade. After all, us non-smokers and wait staff should not have to be subjected to this killer!!!

Fantastic improvement and always highly recommended plus affordable… Who’s hiring these people, always great!!!_

Came here to watch Michigan State play. This bar is the home of the Michigan State alumni club for Dallas /Fort worth. Of course they got crushed in the semi-final game at the cotton bowl. The service here was pretty good. They have a variety of beers on draft mostly domestics: bud light, bud, michelob, blue moon.

I’ve driven by this place so many times that I decided to try it for lunch since it’s just down the street from my office. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly server and was seated at my table immediately. She gave me a few minutes to look over the menu and while waiting for her, I noticed that the restaurant was clean and that they only had 3 or 4 tables with customers. I ordered the club sandwich at 12:45pm but my food didn’t arrive until 12:05pm. 20 minutes for a sandwich and fries is too long. I could understand if they were slammed with the lunch crowd but they weren’t busy at all. The sandwich was good but for my wait I expected more than 1 slice of turkey and ham in my sandwich.

Food is great service SUCKS! Have a little girl as a manager had a compliant she had no idea what to do. The manager came back asking questions where we could see him knowing he was drinking. Will never go back due to bad management due to lack of service and just not caring about your guests. Know wonder why they are dead all the time…

This is my new home away from home. They know me by name and what I drink and that I have a 2 drunk limit because I’m a light weight lol. Cheapest drinks around and it’s not smokey and not crowded.

A bar that’s never that busy is what I’m all about. They pour heavy and Sunday is $ 4 you-call-it’s so hey! you’ll probably find me there.

It’s a great neighborhood bar but they stop serving food early(it was 1030pm) the serve said they closed the kitchen 45minutes ago. My bf and I always come out late during the weekend to hunt down food and libation. A bar which serves late night food is a big plus to us. We usually stay longer or close it down at whichever bar who will serve us food later than 11pm. Will still comeback but for only a few drinks.

Decided to try this place out for our Saturday football watching. Nice clean place, decent tv’s, well set up bar and seating. When we first arrived it was quite busy. There was a large group watching their team, and it was a close game so it was fun to watch their reactions. They cleared out after game ended, which left our group of 6 and I’d say 8 others in bar. The service was HORRIBLE!!! On three occasions I had to go to the bar and get my own drinks. On the third trip I told one of the two bartenders that the service was terrible. Her response in a rude voice«well sorry you feel that way» and walked away. I would totally get slow service if they were busy, but it was a ghost town. And the staffs attire looked(it’s hard to say without sounding like a stuck up Ahole) but let’s just say it wasn’t nice. I believe there was a manager there, but he was only concerned with playing pool with his friend. Won’t be back! Wings TERRIBLE Hamburger good Club sandwich very good

My work team comes here every Thursday for $ 3 Crown-n-down. As the other reviews here have mentioned, the hamburgers here are excellent, and the rest of the food is great, too(though I would avoid the catfish.). Duke’s has happy hour from 11AM to 7PM, which give you a dollar off drinks on top of killer daily drink specials, and free chips and salsa(which is amazing!). I really like that all the booths have private televisions. There is also a lounge area with couches and sofas. The bar is never overcrowded, as many Addison bars can be. I highly recommend the place to anyone, and as Doug R. says in his review, ask for Angelica!

No sweet tea, and the lovely food.. oh that food. I got the country fried steak.. Mmmm mmm. That straight from the freezer burned section of the deep freezer. It’s loud, too dark, and the food is yuck. The serve was nice though

Great bar! Excellent drink specials and customer service. The food fresh and made to order, great laid back atmosphere. I will recommend this place to anybody leaving work and wanting to enjoy the remainder of the day. Family finally also.

Went here last night after not being able to get into Kaboom Town. The service was not great but it was packed and understaffed. The bartenders were all great but Angelica was awesome doing everything she could to help out all who were there. I would recommend this place for a night out with friends.

Me and a friend went there yesterday for lunch. VERYVERYDISTURBING… 1. We had to send back our sodas because the taste was off. 2. Service was slow. We were the only ppl eating with 2 ppl at the bar and the cook has to ring the bell twice for the waitress. 3. The fried pickles were great. 4. The bottle of ketchup that was on our table was soured. 5. My friend’s pizza tasted like it was cooked from frozen. 6. My cheeseburger was heavy and stale. After we went back to our office I ended up going home for the day and the night was far from relaxing. It was a very bad experience.

A friend and I decided to stop by Duke’s last night and it was immediately clear that there are some good points, some bad points, and a couple of great points! First, being fairly new, it’s going to take time to build a crowd. It was pretty empty, even for a Monday night. There are plenty of TVs but I can’t understand why they’d have 4 tiny screens around a larger screen near the bar area. It’d have been much better to have one or two large ones together. There are plenty of opportunities for larger TVs for the sports fans. I don’t think it was thought out very well. That said, each table does have its own TV which is a nice touch. All the country music coming out the jukebox was almost enough to drive me away, though. The tap selection was on the small side, however there were plenty of bottles on display so it’s fairly easy to see what is available if you’re at the bar so this is a good point. The best bits were the men’s room! I’m surprised that, while looking at the pictures on the wall, I didn’t wazz(it’s a British term!) all over my feet :) and of course, Alex who looked after us. She came by several times and made sure that our beers were never empty. She certainly made the night in an otherwise quiet night. Overall, So many TVs you don’t know where to look(tho you might have to squint at some of them), good bottle selection, dubious jukebox music, nice, friendly, and personable staff. I’m looking forward to going back to try the food.

Well… I have gone there several times in hopes the service would get better but NOT to my surprise it has not. The service is utterly terrible and ownership & management are more concerned about themselves having a better time than their guests. Creepier than old ownership at Antonio’s if at all possible. Be sure to order everything at once and hope for the best but expect the worst. You have a better chance of getting the attention of the staff, that are constantly going out the side door by the bar to smoke or do whatever, by going outside to join them. Don’t believe me, than drive down Addison Road and you will see the staff from the street out there. What is more sad is that I’ve never seen them once go to the restroom to wash their hands when they get back in from smoking and go straight to the kitchen to get & deliver food. Drink prices are great no doubt but at what cost to your health. I do agree to watch your credit card statement because I’m still waiting on additional charges to be removed. That process is as slow as their service. Tip of the Day /Bar 101: running a restaurant /bar is a business not a hobby! Get management /staff that know what they are doing. This is Addison, Texas where there are too many other business that would fight for your business.
