Best tenders in town. Always cooked well and the spicy dust on the tenders make the difference. Good price and the mashed and gravy the best. They must train the people at the window well. Always nice and the order is right every time

Sad to see Golden Chick doing what other chicken joints are doing: stripping the customers chicken order. Yesterday I went to Golden Chick even thought it is inconvenient for me. I went there because other chicken places doing this. I bought a 15-piece family meal, and every breast was trimmed of about 20% of the breast meat(the lump on top of the breast). When it is coated and fried you may not notice, but I do because two other national chains are doing the same. Friggin cheating, I won’t be going back again.

There are those times when you want something fancy, and there are times you just want something down home! Foodie problems! This is your spot! Golden Chick can solve world chicken problems! LOL! No seriously, I get the same thing every time! The chicken tenders! Always hot and fresh, and juicy! I always get the 4 piece chicken tenders with fries, gravy, and a roll. I am never disappointed by these tenders. They are plump and juicy. Oops, i used«juicy» twice! Okay, the gravy could use a little spice or a bit of salt, but it works . The fries are well seasoned and tasty. The sweet tea always touches a southern girls heart. I can’t speak for the fried chicken pieces, but you can’t go wrong with the tenders. The service is always fast and who doesn’t love a drive-thru? Golden Chick is one of the reasons I can’t let go of meat. :(

I love Golden Chick! The chicken is sooo juicy, tender, and seasoned very well. I use to be a Churchs Chicken fan all the way. But ever since I discovered Golden Chick — I made the switch. I always order the #3, dark meat only, fried okra and my drink of choice.

Golden Chick is the BOMDOTCOM! Every time in in Dallas I hit up this place. The chicken is AMAZING, and the cashier that I worked with at this location was very friendly. They cooked us fresh chicken, mainly because we ordered a 50 piece but also because we asked them too. He gave me zing zang on the house & bagged our food perfectly. I had never been to this location but others don’t inform you of the $ 0.50−0.55 cent wings on Saturday and Sunday! That is definitely a steal. Will be back for Thanksgiving and I can’t wait!

Love their catfish and rolls. And it’s in walking distance from my house is a good plus!

I’ve eaten at Golden Chick with my friend at a different location and that was good. So for dinner, I decided to bring my other friend here to try it. This location has very poor customer service. They try to rush you and there only one car behind us. Clearly ordered #1, regular with side of dirty rice, gravy and bread. #5, with side of dirty rice, gravy and bread and additional corn on a cob. I even repeated my order at the window to be sure. Came home and opened our food.(Big mistake! Should have not trusted them and opened each box right there) My order ended up #1 spicy with 2 dirty rice no gravy and #5 with two dirty rice no corn in the cob. Rice were mushy and half full. Super greasy. The box at the bottom were soaked and ripped due to grease. It doesn’t seem like they drained the chicken and the catfish prior to putting it in the box. This was too pricey for a fast food $ 20 meal for 2. Since I moved to Texas, I’ve spoke so highly of the the restaurants and fast food place here in comparison to California. Never thought I’d find a food place in Texas that would be off. Well… never say never.

I have eaten at a few golden chicken around the Metroplex. Overall the food is pretty good. I don’t recommend the roast chicken. The pieces are micro mini and that’s at all of them. I’ve also had to wait 20 min for fried chicken several times. Fast food hello!

The boyfriend had never been to Golden Chick so I decided to introduce him to his future second love… the almost world famous warm yeast rolls and crispy chicken tenders! Do NOT– I repeat do NOT visit this location! Also, do NOT judge all Golden Chick restaurants by this location. I’m so disappointed in this store for giving a bad first impression to such a great food chain. If I hadn’t been to other locations that are clean and awesome I would never return to another Golden Chick after visiting this one. So sad to have to say that! For starters, it’s not clean inside. Most of the tables were covered in other diners trash and/or not wiped down. Chairs were anything but pushed in neatly at the tables. It honestly looked like someone had a party full of 5 years old children thereDo NOT I repeat do NOT visit this location. Also, do NOT judge all Golden Chick restaurants by this location. Secondly, everyone knows that you go to Golden Chick for the warm yeast rolls(and if you didn’t know then now ya do!). Every location I’ve been to has a designated employee bringing fresh, heavenly bread around to tables complimentary. Secondly, everyone knows that people go to Golden Chick for the warm yeast rolls. Every location I’ve been to in the past has its employees wander around the dining room with a fresh basket of their heavenly bread available and complimentary –but not this location. You get one roll only with your meal. Each additional roll is $ 0.75. They are also extremely skimpy with the sides here, unlike most other locations where my mashed potatoes or dirty rice are satisfying portions. To top it off I ordered ½ of my 6pc tenders«spicy» but received no spicy seasoning at all. When I inquired about the anticipated table-to-table yeast roll service the employee at the register said«the owner made the rules not to offer extra bread for free since this is his franchise». Well then– I’ve made a rule not to eat here again so for future visits I think I’ll head to the Frisco or Richardson locations. The endless rolls will make up for the cost of tolls!

Remember to always check your orders or the workers will cheat you! I asked specifically is there gravy in my bag and they told ke yes, drove all the way home and there was no gravy. Extremely disappointed in their lack of service!

Greasy and tasteless fried chicken. The salads are cheap refrigerated packages.

Meh. This place is alright. They make it fresh but it’s so greasy and takes forever to make. I don’t feel you get a good price to quantity(or quality) ratio. But they do have a big selection of different menu items. Fish, chicken, all the southern style soul food you’d expect.

I LOVE this place. The tenders and catfish, rolls and chicken are fantastic. Better than Babe’s(yuck). They will make your catfish or tenders fresh if you ask and it is so good and juicy, even as take-out. The servers have been there a long time and are friendly, they know me! I know this seems like average fast food but it’s not, it is MUCH, MUCH better.

I’m not really a fan of fast food(except maybe a Whataburger or those 2 for $.99 tacos @ Jack in the Box a couple of times a year) but because of freezing temps and an attack of severe laziness, I wanted something I could get at a drive-through in my warm auto. I’ve only been to this location for their delicious sweet tea so perused the menu on line and decided I’d try their chicken salad sandwich combo. So happy I did! This sandwich was humongous! In fact, too fat(maybe 2 inches tall) to even get my mouth around, piled high with chunks of white meat chicken, finely chopped celery and walnuts, with a very light mayo dressing to make it just moist enough. The real plus to this sandwich? It’s served on one of their halved soft, warm, buttery yeast rolls with a subtle sweet taste. Pics of the sandwich show that red grapes are also part of the recipe, but mine did not include those tasty morsels. However, it was absolutely delicious ! 5 stars ! My combo meal came with one side, which I opted for the battered seasoned fries. They were okay, nothing really special, except I did like that they were plump, no skinny fries here, crispy on the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside. Dipping them in a side order of peppery cream gravy made them quite tasty after all. Of course, just had to have some of that excellent freshly brewed sweet tea. Ummm good! Drive-through service was friendly, wait time was short(all food is prepared to order), and order was correct. Next time laziness or bad weather sets in and I close my kitchen, I’ll have another creamy chicken salad sandwich just down the street!

One of my favorite places to go for fried chicken. Especially their rolls, soft, warm, and buttery… delicious! They even have free ice cream with any purchase which makes the children happy. I really recommend this place, overall really good food.

Wicked wings are wicked good… I’ve had the fried chicken, the chicken tenders and the fried fish… I keep coming back to these wicked wings! I don’t know what the seasoning is they put on these wings but they are delish!!! On Saturday & Sunday select stores have their wicked wings for $ 0.54…SCORE! LOL I literally can eat chicken everyday morning, noon and evening!!! As long as these wicked wings are around… I’ll forever be on the yard bird LOL

I’m mostly a Popeye’s kind of guy. But I was in he neighborhood and saw the Golden Chick, figured it was something I ought to try. Glad I did. I’m a two piece white, breast and a wing. I ordered the 2-piece combo(you gotta pay a little upcharge for the breast on the combo). The chicken was so damn good. It was actually too hot to eat so I started with that unbelievably delicious roll. Do yourself a favor, get an extra roll. Apparently you can also order your chicken spicy, but I didn’t see that anywhere so I had it just regular. They also have a delicious sounding chicken salad and catfish too. I want to try both of these on a future visit. I didn’t notice that they also sell livers and gizzards(yeah, gizzards) until I was almost done with my chicken. Since livers and gizzards are so hard to find(actually, I don’t actually know anyplace that sells them), I asked if I could order just one of each. Since they make ‘em to order they didn’t have one of each ready to sell me, so I decided to blow it off(I was almost finished with my 2-peice combo anyway). When the owner realized what the deal was(I really just wanted to try the liver and gizzards), he quickly had one of each made up and brought them to me(with a little cream gravy)…for free. How does that happen at a fast food place? I loved them. I can’t wait to go back an chow a dozen of those nasty things(my wife calls ‘em nasty, but I definitely like them). Oh, let’s also talk about the little details that this place gets right too. I always like to wash may hands after eating fried chicken and I’ve pretty much come to expect an air drier(no paper towels) in the restroom. But not here. They have one of those automated paper towel dispensers that rolls out a paper towel when you wave you hand in front of the sensor. Usually, I gotta stand there and trick the thing into giving me a large enough sheet to dry my hands. But they have the dispenser set to actually give you a decent sized paper towel. Nice touch. Love Golden Chick.

The Boo insisted that i needed to try Golden Chick. I’ve always been familiar with that yellow chicken on the logo since i was a kid, but i just never actually tried the place for some reason. I’ve tried other chicken tender places, like Canes, Laynes, Bush’s Chicken, and Chicken Express, so i assumed it would be pretty similar. This is where i will admit that i was wrong. Golden Chick has some of the best rolls i’ve ever had. I dunno what’s infused in the dough, but it’s buttery and slightly sweet. It’s as if honey was mixed in. It’s not a croissant, but there are layers of flavors in the roll. We ordered the 13 lucky meal that comes with a side, rolls, and 13 chicken tenders. Teh chicken tenders were fried to order. If i wanted to be picky, i could point out that the crust really didnt stay intact with the meat after biting into, but im not a douche so i wont point that out. The thing the boo really wanted me to try was the wicked wings. It’s pretty much fried wings coated in some spicy salt crack mixture. It’s amplified the chicken to another level. Golden Chick, you are on another level. I will never compare you to Canes or those other chicken joints. Maybe Bush’s chicken and Chicken Express because they have awesome sweet tea.

Serious love for the Golden Chick Their chicken strips are decent… but what always brings me back? The yeast rolls. The french fries. The gravy. Seriously, for a place called Golden Chick, I could care less about their chicken!(don’t get me wrong, it’s good… but once I start eating the yeast rolls and fries dipped in gravy, I forget there’s even chicken in the box) The biggest disappointment for Golden Chick fans is when a location has BISCUITS instead of the doughy yeasty goodness of ROLLS. This one on Marsh has the delicious yeast rolls. Delicious. Their fries taste almost breaded as opposed to just potatoes fried in oil. Best friend LOVES the spicy stuff on the chicken strips and always gets extra(sometimes used to carry a bottle of the ZING! with her in the car to add to everything).
